High School.. I can't even deal with it anymore. I know tons of people go through the same thing. I am going to be out of it really soon, 1 more school year after this one.. but I just can't stand it. It's not like I am bullied or anything bad happens there, it is just the most boring place ever. I get straight A grades, and all I do the entire time is sleep in class. My grades are slipping this quarter, but I still have 7 weeks to bring them up. I just can't anymore.. I LOVE to learn and get educated, but I hate school. My mom was going to home school me next year, but what's the point when I only have my last year left.

I just need some motivation to think of. Please help!

Education truly begins after you finish school.

Not my words, but true all the same.

High school can blow, dick and balls, all at the same time.

And not in a fun it's your birthday sort of way.

If it isn't thrilling you, just think of it like grinding in a video game.

You are logging innumerable hours of total mind numbing bullshit to get to your end goal, the chance to further increase your total experience of the game you are playing.

Once you are free and clear of high school you can do whatever the fuck you want.

Go to college and further your quest for knowledge, sure, get a job and make money instead, go for it.

Get a bank loan so you can create your own board game involving fifty sided die and topless women wearing elf ears, you bet your ass that's a step in the right direction.

High school was alright for me.

I went to college, twice.

First time was fun, second time was way better.

The difference between high school and life after high school is light years apart.

Once you get more out there in the world and venture beyond your home town, your parents house, your same old group of friends/acquaintances, you will rediscover the fun in the world.

I imagine you would have to freeze the piss before you could break off a piece of it, otherwise piss only comes in cups and jars. Is that a saying in the poisonous south, Rob? I've honestly never heard it before.

Epic, just live through it. I did the same, slept through class or skipped it entierly. I spent my junior and senior years in the library, reading. Just find something at school that you can't get anywhere else. Aside from that, listen to what Affray said. I especially like that grinding part.

Yes, it is, it's quite common.

Affray pretty much says it.

I felt exactly the same way during highschool

But you know what? University is way much better than highschool.

Because I can...

Play a sport or join an extra curricular activity such as Drama.  Find things you can do after school to supplement your life experiences.  There is more to education than sitting in classrooms. Electronics are great, but they are not replacement for real life. (Not yet anyway ;) )

On that note, there is more to life than sitting in a career job for 8-10 hours a day too.

Would a good swift kick in the ass help.....?
:)

Srsly tho, be careful how you tread here. The world is getting kinda weird, in that I mean it seems that in my day they searched for the best and brightest. Now the establishment fears the best and brightest. And it's going to get worse.
There used to be a time when our young were treasured and nurtured to be more, to do more, to achieve what previous generations had only dreamed of. Now children are being intentionally held back and devalued to the point of being slaughtered before they have a chance to even exist. It's sad how low the establishment has sunk with its fear, but if they had any honor....oh well.
All I can say is to study on your own. Use the Internet and do it on your own. Keep up with what the school assigns you (which doesn't really seem to be an issue for you) but use the tools at your command.
You own your future, not them.

Man, school was the absolute shit. Then I got a job. Ho boy gimme double history over warehouse packing any day.

I'd say join a club or something, do something that you can look forward to and keep your mind occupied by trying your best to engage with the lesson. Time'll go quicker and you'll graduate before you know it.

Then the real fun begins...

So... My birthday's coming up...

Better bust out the yellow pages and find some ladies willing to do that sort of action.

Wait, do people still use phonebooks?

I keep some in the trunk of my car. Not to look up numbers, I just rip them apart to impress milfs from the 80's. I also have a moustache and aviator sunglasses for similar reasons.

Dunno, they still show up on my doorstep from time to time.... in fact im pretty sure there are 2 or three sitting out there still.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

There used to be classes people could take so that they were proficient in the use of a phonebook.

Technology has made yet another skill that our parents have obsolete.

Just like operating an answering machine, or talking to people in person.
