Im just wondering if there are others out there prepping and if you have a bug out bag, what does it consist of? im trying to figure out what else i need for my bag to be complete.
I have most of the basic necessities but i feel like my bag is lacking somewhere, i just want to be prepared for anything. :)

I don't have one, but there is a duffle bag full of paintball stuff I can convert pretty fast. As far as what should be in it, I'd suggest a good multi-tool, a few bottles of clean water, a small first aid kit, a good knife and sharpener, a fire starter, a small tackle kit, and some clothing.

tackle kit is a good idea, would not have thought about that myself.

Your best bet is just to buy one from a sporting good store, along with some chlorination tablets.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's thought of having one. >.>

I'd rather be paranoid and prepared than have a situation get out of hand.

Personally, I want one of those tools that cut the seat belts and break the windows as well.
Tho that would have to be kept in the front of the car.

I would also carry a small bag of kitty litter to provide traction in snow/ice if your wheels get stuck.
A blanket and one of those shake or wind up flashlights as well.
Couldn't hurt to have a road flare to put out and signal you need help too.

As funny as it sounds it has gotten me out of a tough spot before.

not too sure what a loo roll is :P
I have all the basic medical needs, snare trap strings, fishing equip., a pot & metal skillet for water and food, some basic tools, fire supplies, countless knives, tons of rope and twine, warm clothes and flashlights. chlorination tabs is a great idea and i guess i will just break down n buy the respirators. I just feel like i cant get enough to prepare. I would ideally like to prepared for nearly anything short of a gamma ray burst (cause if that were the case, were all effed anyway). :D

Pft, my house was made in the '20s, there's enough lead paint here to protect me from gamma rays.

I also suggest picking up something like the army field manual and reading through it. Having the equipment is pretty useless if you don't have the knowledge to use it all to it's full potential.

I read the thread title as "bang out bugs".

There has to be a rule 34 somewhere for it.......

I suggest for the rope using nylon paracord, it'll hold up best.
