Didn't know it had aired yet. Gonna at least give it a shot, but it reminds me of that Once Upon a Time show my mother and ten year old niece watch.

No, it is like a man from 1700's brought to the 21st century and these demon things trying to start an apocalypse. Him and Abbie, the main character, has to stop it. You can watch the first episode online at Fx's site.
