Your SNES was indeed possessed, or very confused. Kill it with fire.

Right? That's exactly what I thought. Definitely out to get me.

Oh Yeah! The other thing that scared me were the dementors from Harry Potter. But that was when I was a small child.

They're worth being terrified of.

Our fucking Super Nintendo would turn on all by itself, and it would always bring up that "Seeeggaaa" screen.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.

If you want a game: Outlast, next to Amnesia the game that scared me the most.

If you want a movie, depending on which scares you more: Demons (First "Paranormal Activity", "Emily Rose"), Ghosts ("Shutter"), the Unknown ("Sinister")

Easy get scared recipe: Any of the above while being alone in a room with lights off.

I don't know, but it's a sad day when a video game makes me cry like a bitch.

We're amazed at the fact that a Nintendo system said Sega and not that it turned on by itself, right? Just making sure we're all on the same page, cuz I feel like Sympa and I are talking about something diffrent from Sandy.

Let's all try to recall detailed descriptions of our surroundings at the age of 4. Give me a break.

That's right about me. If I turned on an SNES and it went "Sega!" I would've gone out of my mind and killed it with fire.

I can't seem to go to sleep anytime I watch this movie. I'm deathly afraid of spiders. This movie freaks me out and makes me paranoid; I was constantly always looking over my shoulder and checking if spiders were crawling on me. Only saw this movie once and it still scares me.

On the plus side you won't remember it so you won't know to be sad about it. Still if this ever happens to me please shoot me.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

The hairs on the back of my neck stand on end every time I play the original SILENT HILL game for the PS1.

It's the static sound when a monster looms near. Ohohohoh Man I love that feeling when my heart races. I turn off all the lights and freak myself out. Good times.

Outlast was probably the most terrifying game that I've played recently. A few months ago I remember my brother making me play a game on his Oculus. The game has you moving around at the bottom of the ocean and eventually being attacked by a shark. That was ridiculously scary seeing a shark darting straight towards my face... o.o

THIS WAS NOT OK TO PUT IN A MOVIE AIMED AT KIDS:

I also thought the Donkey Kong Country level "Stop and Go" was horrifying.

As an adult, I guess I get really freaked out by anything that involves torture. I just can't do it. People really do that stuff and it just reminds me of how terrible the world can be and makes me want to never leave my bed.

The Wrong Turn movies also get to me. I can't sit through those.

Oh yeah, Outlast is for sure scary! Problem is that it loses stream near the end and the scares stop being effective. They sure turned the terror up to 11 with the Whistleblower DLC!

Oooooh, I saw the Whistleblower in a vid somewhere. No, thank you.

Thanks for resurrecting this thread!

My fear-tolerance has changed drastically in the last six months. Since I started watching the Grumps play stuff like Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, PT, Outlast, and (my favorite), DreadOut, as well as Mark's FNAF adventures. I went from being a scaredy creampuff to a slightly tougher cream puff.
