Not sure if this is in the correct thread, if it is not in the correct thread, then please feel free to move it.

SAN FRANCISCO—Televangelist Pat Robertson learns something new every day, it seems.

On Tuesday, the host of the “700 Club” alerted his viewers of a little known threat facing those who would dare set foot in San Francisco.

"You know what they do in San Francisco? Some of the gay community there, they want to get people. So, if they've got the stuff, they'll have a ring. You shake hands and the ring's got a little thing where you cut your finger," Robertson told the audience. "Really. I mean it's that kind of vicious stuff, which would be the equivalent of murder."

Video of the encounter was posted to YouTube by the group Right Wing Watch, but was soon removed by the Christian Broadcasting Network, which airs “700 Club.”

During the segment, Robertson railed off a series of claims about AIDS and the gay community that were all later edited out of video of the show posted to CBN’s site.

I hate to say it (Oh wait, no I don't) but...Pat Robertson has taken a a walk right off the fucking map!

How the hell is he even allowed on the air anymore? I've heard the things he has said in the past and it's nothing short of a miracle that the FCC or CBN hasn't jerked this old coot off the air and thrown him into a padded rubber room!

Had this been ANYBODY else on television today, they would have been fined, humiliated and thrown off the air for saying something as asinine as this! Not only is this a slap in the face to the LGBT community, it's a slap in the face to intelligent people in general!

My money is they are just waiting him out.

The guy is at least eighty, he can't be alive and/or functional all the much longer.

Plus, old prejudiced assholes are good tv, whether the politically correct like it or not.

Obviously everything he said was batshit insane, and terrible.

But it was all obviously dismissed as exactly that by everyone who saw it.

I do think he should be reprimanded for spouting such hateful garbage.

Or at least tucked away in some corner of the country where he can't get in front of a camera.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Yep. That's right, dude. The Gays are out to Get you.

Like we'd fucking touch him with a 30-m pole. (You know, unless it's to beat him with it.)

Let me just reinforce the point that even those he'd claim to be affiliated with(Chrisianity) think hes fucking bonkers. This guy is not informing any sane segment of the population, that includes the Christians.
