So If you haven't heard about this yet, what the hell are you doing away from the internet?

When I found out I didn't even have words for the feeling I experienced.

It was like sitting there on my couch and all of a sudden a goddamn truck full of nonsense slammed through my wall and ran me over.

Then the driver got out and pissed on my bookshelf, laughed, and sped off to lay in to the next bewildered Batman fan.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Well, he /could/ do a good job. Also the sun /could/ become unstable and implode soon.

I'm not holding my breath for it though.

Kinda Off-Topic: I'm enjoying the irony of the comments sections. Half the people are complaining about Ben Affleck being the new Batman [which I can understand], and the other half are complaining about the people complaining, in a "holier-than-thou" tone of arrogance, completely oblivious that they're doing the same thing that they're chiding other people for.

It's just so deliciously stupid.

Oh my glob, Reddit exploded last night because of this. I could live the rest of my life without seeing his and Matt Daymon's face shopped onto Batman and Robin's body.

It's a silly thing, almost like replacing James Bond every few years and making it progressively worst, only on a monumental scale filled with monies and nerds. I'm with wolf, the only upside is watching people's reactions.

Not sure how I feel about this. they could have picked so many better actors for the role.

Like Matt Damon. Or Christian Bale.oh... wait.

Really though, they got rid of the best bats to date for this chucklefuck?

Come on.

I guess it makes sense that they would need a new bat since there aren't a lot of Batman stories one can do a film on without a joker, and they can't really replace Heath Ledger in the current Batman universe they're working on.

I don't overly dislike Ben Affleck as an actor, but he has his place.

Its like the guys deciding who should be the new Batman thought to themselves "You know who would be a great Batman, that guy from Mallrats who tried to fuck chicks in the ass all the time."

On the bright side, maybe this time Batman will actually get the girl!

What next? Justin Beiber as the Flash?

This is similar to the casting of Seth Rogen as the green hornet. He may well do a good job(not to imply that Seth did, just as a general statement), but it is not a role that most people would see him in, as such it will surprise me if the film does well.

It is too serious of a role for how he is generally known to be.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I think we have enough Batman movies.
They really need to create something new and different instead of rehashing.
But then this is Hollywood, which defies all things creative and original.

You know what? I really don't mind. I think Affleck will do a fine job.

He would suit Bruce Wayne just fine because that's an extension of what he was like back in 2004.

As for Batman we'll just have to wait and see. If George Clooney can give it a crack, then why cant he? I think he's a good enough actor.

I didn't mind Christian Bale, but his Batman came across as weird sometimes.

As a life long Batman fan I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE!!!!

DareDevil playing Batman is just as weird to me as The Human Torch playing Captain America. It just seems wrong.

I don't really think I can express how much I don't care.

But the problem here is many of you, with your premisconceptions on whether Ben Affleck will be a good Batman or no, will tarnish your experience.

In the end it's all about making money and if he's bad, don't watch it.

Because I can...

After thinking about it, I think I would watch that.

I have a soft spot in my heart for movies with terrible yet famous actors
