Batman is better at making decisions than Superman, so why is Superman leader of the JLA? See exhibit a) Superman 2 for superman vs mommy says I can't be super and be with my bitch. So ftw

If Hal Jordan was the first GL chosen from Earth, as the movie and books say. And the books say that Alan Scott exists in the same universe (DC legacies) please explain how Hal was first chosen when Alan Scott was a lantern before.

Welcome to comic books, where the rules are made up and timelines don't matter!

Basically, the comics are made to be different, but concurrent timelines.

Okay I just found out something that might clear up some of the confusion I was suffering around Alan Scott. He's not actually a member of the Green Lantern Core. His ring is made of the same stuff that The Guardians tap into, but he may actually be older than - prior to The Guardians of the Universe? Or something.

Still don't know about power = leadership mantle being the right way to run an organisation.
