I write literary fiction, psychological drama and adventure with bleak humour and morbidly precise details setting scenery and violence.

Keen to write for tabletop games. I also draw storyboards, and character design for animated film. Interested in designing electronic toys for exhibition as  interactive art.

I am a bit of a movie nerd, comics nerd, literary nerd.

Major old school video game nerd.

Love Magic: the Gathering and a few other tabletop games.

My favourite filims are:

Henry Fool
A History of Violence
Labyrinth
The Dark Crystal
Empire Strikes Back
Night of the Demons 2
The Langoliers
Spider
eXistenZ
Star Wars Uncut: Director's Cut
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Oldboy
Rush
Tombstone
Tremors
Chasing Amy
Event Horizon
The Goonies
Batman Returns
The Idiots
True Romance
La Cite Des Enfants Perdus
Audition
Hard Candy
The War Zone
Unforgiven

Cheers dude, I have been to Gisborne a few times with the fam, camping mostly and for the new millenium bash.

Yea Petone is pretty sweet. I'd love to get a place there. I mostly flat in Wellington city up by cuba street and I think mount vic.

I was living in lower hutt with fam, but they moved to wairarapa, so now I'm looking for a job so i can move back the hutt, or settle here. But I def plan trips back to the city.

Chur yep, you're right in town. I lived up on Tasman st right up beside Massey Uni. Love the grooviness of the city. Love wellyz but the crappy weather and high cost of living sucked lol.

Used to attend Weltec, but graduated in 2011 and moved bk home 2 Gizzy. Petone is a hole lol, but lower hutt is pretty awesome, has my fav mall there.

Good to have a fellow NZ'er on the forums

yea the mall is pretty sweet, I think the doughnut king outside the warehouse closed, but I like Wendys. The lady there always recognises me and they have a pretty sweet selection. Good places to buy clothes and I like the chocolate shop. ebgames is cool too. I went to Whitireia (first year in Porirua, then 2 years at the cuba street campus) graduated in March 2011. Then started learning to draw and draw with computers at The Learning Connexion. Now I'm finishing a novel and trying to figure out what to do next (for money). I have a casual web design gig for a school, but it's not a weekly wage. I did some office admin work. But I'd really like to get a full time gig working behind the scenes in theatre - stage hand working up to production design. And do all my creative work in my off time. But I still have some issues to deal with before I can see that through.

I used to meet a guy I met at Armageddon at the Upper Hutt library to play Magic. but we lost contact a while back -  2008ish. Haven't played with anyone since. Even though I have a digital version of my deck so I'm all set to play online.

Welcome.

Your list of movies is eerily similar to my own in many regards.

I was fairly certain that there were a few that only I had seen since any time I ever bring them up people look at me like I have two heads.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I know the feeling, I hope to get movie posters of most of them and line my walls with them. But I already have screenshot framed photos of Gummo and Henry Fool on my wall and hard to find posters for It's Such A Beautiful Day and Star Wars Uncut.
