Well I was just wondering if someone wants to join forces and start a nerd blog? Just for fun. So if you like top 10's and reviews and write stuff about, movies, videogames, comics whatever nerd there might be to write about! 1 or 2 people would be cool.

Were I in a less busy state right now I would be all over that opportunity.

Unfortunately I am swamped with work to the point that I don't even have any time to sit down for an hour and play some video games.

I know, sad really.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Why not talk to Spleen about having a Blog section put on the site? users can submit articles VIA the forums for approval to be part of the blog/collection. We have some brilliant minds and could have a multi-platform blog that would attract traffic to the site and possibly ad revenue for Spleen/the site.

I really like idk's idea. Having a blog section of the site and highlighting some of them on another page would be pretty cool. Although I think I've seen the suggestion of a NerdForum newsletter and the problem was there wasn't enough writers, so I think there might be a problem of getting enough people to use the service.

I've been interested in doing a real blog like that though. I kind of feel like I've grown too old for Tumblr, or at least, I'm too old compared to most of the people on there. Some things I've wanted to write about are tips and stuff on learning Japanese, reviews on games, television shows, etc, and the goings on of general nerdery in my life (like within the space society and any projects that I'm doing that sound cool). I've been thinking of setting it up eventually. Just this term has turned out to be super busy so I haven't gotten around to it.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I want to collaborate with someone because that means I'd have to make posts at a decent pace, which I cannot promise as I'm spending 9-10 hours a day on my schoolwork right now as it is.

Well, it doesn't necessarily have to be a newsletter. More of something people can submit an article to occasionally that fits the theme of the website, nerd culture general. Unlike a newsletter it doesn't have the looming threat of being a regular thing going out, and always having to find content for it.

sounds like a cool idea idk!. Well I was interested in writing a blog, that talk about old games, movies, comics and what ever nerd stuff you can write. It should be serious but also funny at the same time. So a link between the blog and this forum would be cool. Maybe some sort of podcasts and stuff could be featured too.

What Kitty said, I say too. Sandman, start something like what Idk suggested and I'll participate. Sounds like fun.

if you guys want to do it, Contact Spleen and see what he thinks.

I likely won't participate but I figured I'd suggest something that could include the whole community and give us more traffic in the process.

yeah would be cool. But we could start a random regular blog first see how it turns out? As a test. Or what do you think?
