I wish I knew how to play, but I would rather play with girls....
Seriously though my friend was hardout into 40k and he hand painted most of his characters and his entire room was decorated with weird little medieval/fantasy figurines. He always boasted that he was ranked #3 in the Southern hemisphere. He competed in Australia and brought back a nice little trophy with an orc attached to it.
It's pretty cool because he had an army comprised of Star Wars lego figurines. General Grevous was the leader and he had a hundred or so droids. I would show you pictures but he seems to have deleted his Bebo account. lol
THE HELL YOU READING FOOL???

Warhammer 40k the table top game is awesome, but it is way to expensive in Australia and honestly $70 for one model is unjustified

I half wish I stayed now, the group has really grown to do more roleplay, and its much less awkward than before since they know how to play now.

I started creating an army, I chose Daemons. But as previously mentioned it is very expensive in Australia and I didn't get much further then buying some khorne daemons and a Daemon Prince. It's fine for small games I guess. Maybe I'll get something good for Christmas!

It's all about the DoW series. There's more action than the table tops and you can build up plenty of armies in the space of an hour and it only costs you a one off fee.

i love the dow (first part not the 2nd) but its not the same as playing on the table top tt just has a certain feeling of awsomeness that a video game cant match.

I dunno man, the tabletop game is so stop-and-start with all the millions of rules and amount of rolling you have to do every 20 seconds. I thought something like Necromunda looked more fun, smaller, more strategic gaming and you could play it a little more like an RPG.
