One of my buddies is that guy.

He doesn't seem to understand that no one else wants to hear the random shit he watches on his phone.

It isn't even music usually, just funny videos with obnoxious laugh tracks and explosion sounds.

I get to yell at him because he's a friend, but he does it everywhere and I want to know which wires are crossed in his brain that tell him this is acceptable behavior in a crowded waiting room or a restaurant.

Aye, dude. The other nights he was watching something with robot alarm noises and I seriously thought for a minute some shit was going down. I was about to walk back to my station and make sure it wasn't in flames (not that I'd care).

I'd like to also admit my gf WAS really bad in that regard...but at home. Like we'd be on the couch figuring out what to do or watch and while talking she'll just lean back and she's one of those that plays EVERY video in her FB news feed. EVERY. Single. One. But I hinted enough times and she's been cool about not doing it or wearing her headphones.

I don't mind people showing me sweet vids but if I don't know why you're watching, what, and can't see it for myself I don't want to hear it. Distracts me from what I'm doing.

I have no real arguable stance on Trudeau since I kind of fuck the dog when it comes to paying attention to my own country's politics.

Probably not the best way to be, but next time round I intend to do some voting and whatnot.

 

Other than that, pretty much everything that woman said is understandable.

I think we should have abandoned fossil fuels, eve3n if only for vehicles, about a hundred years ago.

But it's pretty hard to just chuck it out the window now since it has become something of a crutch that is controlled by some very rich and powerful people.

Otherwise she sums up most of Canada's attitude toward people coming here and bitching about stuff.

Regardless of the shortcomings we have as a nation, I can't honestly say I would be happy living anywhere else in the world.

We have the second most land, 21% of the planets surface fresh water, the third largest oil reserves, second cleanest air (all that land with so few people), and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Even the woman in that video who is ranting about people fucking off starts it with "Good evening everybody" and ends it with "You guys all take care of yourselves and have a good day". Even gruff rants about Jane Fonda being shithead begin and end with courtesy.

 

It's no wonder Canada is has the happiest citizens in the world, right behind every Scandinavian country anyway.

Not even mad though, those bastards have their shit more together than most and deserve the happiness.
