This topic comes to mind because I'm starting a new job next week. It's just going to be a tech support/ customer service type gig. I aspire for soooooo much more in a career, but it's alright for now. :)

So I am wondering, what types of jobs/ careers do you all have?

I'm a software engineer/programmer/full stack web developer/whatever you want to call it (it has so many names that I'm not even sure what to call it). I've been doing it professionally for a year and a half. It's a pretty nice setup, real laid back and casual.

Good luck on your new job.  :)

Professional bum
Kinda
I'm a student, studying nursing, but it's only a career path I chose so I'll always have jobs avaible to me.
Currently I'm deferring 'cause I got sick about 7/8 months ago, working on my health.
But going back to school in july so yeah.

Because I can...

I run an embroidery shop here in Canada.

Its a pretty good gig, nice and laid back and I am the boss.

I actually have a website that is currently under construction.

You folks can check it out if you like.

Be kind, it is incomplete and not being built by me.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I am helping restore the last wooden whaleship on earth.
I'm pretty much in charge of plank fastening.

I'm an audio visual technician contracting for a large pharmaceutical company.  I also write a blog(http://www.beagamecharacter.com) and co-own a martial arts dojo(http://www.risingfistmartialarts.com).  The A/V job will be ending in June-ish, at which point I'm hoping to make the transition to writing and teaching martial arts as my full time gigs.

Oh, so when you watch kids it's a profession but when I do it it's paedophilia.

Officially my title is "Information Technology" but I pretty much fix anything in the office of a company that's currently around 175 employees. From shimming doors to building computers.

I'm a professional student. And I strip down at the bars on Saturdays.

I'm a computer engineering student, probably going towards a robotics career path since I love this work term so much. I'd love to work with NASA or the CSA, that's where I want to see myself in a few years time.

Officially my title is "Information Technology" but I pretty much fix anything in the office of a company that's currently around 175 employees. From shimming doors to building computers.

That's an intense title, you /are/ information technology.

I'd totally do that if I had the confidence.

I don't know what kind of classy strip clubs you guys have been to but more often than not the standards are pretty low.
