First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Ugh, one of the reasons I dislike reading things that were created a long time ago. That is an F now, but was an S way back when.
Different letter. ;D
It's from our Saxon runes before we standardised the alphabet and grammar. The F and the S look vaguely similar, but if you are careful you notice a visible difference. Modern fonts that try to emulate the old S don't look at the similarities and differences properly so you get this disparity between what amateur typographers think is an old S and what they actually were.
Do I need to get out more? I think I probably do....Christ...
