I like eReaders, mainly because I can carry tons of books with me on one tiny machine (Yes I can do that with a tablet but the lights eventually hurt my eyes). Also, it's (relatively) good for the environment compared to books, at least I would think.

I got my first eReader, a Kindle Keyboard, two years ago. When that one broke, I got a Kindle Touch. I'm a big fan of the e-Ink, but reading in the dark is annoying because I have to use an external light.

Thus enters the Kindle Paperwhite (which I would like but Amazon hasn't started Kindle Touch/Paperwhite trade-ins yet, and I can't justify buying a Paperwhite to myself when I have a perfectly good one (my parents will replace it with a Paperwhite if it breaks, but I'm not going to break the Kindle).

Anyways, what eReader, if you use an eReader, do you prefer?

I like the Kindle line (although I confess the Kindle Fire ruined the point as it uses a LED screen as well, I believe).

Your thoughts?

I use a Nook basic, but keep a Nook pad at the house. The tablet is just too bulky to carry in a cargo pocket. It's a great tool for proofreading, because no matter how many times I might skip it on my monitor, I'll spot a damn error on my reader after I upload it.

Nice.

I don't really care what eReader I use much, but I definitely prefer Kindle or Nook because of the extensive library.

I have just a normal Kindle (4th or 5th gen, I dunno it was $60 on Amazon so I jumped at it :P) and my old English teacher gave me her E-Book library of a whole lot of books, 3gb I think, so that was a big score haha. I wanna get a Kindle Paperwhite because of the in-built light though, I'm getting over needing an external light source while reading at night...

I use my nexus 7, Google Books for actual books, Perfect Viewer for comic type stuff.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

I use my Nexus 7 to read everything as well, though flippy has one of the kindles with a keyboard, and it's rather nice. eInk is much better for viewing any black and white stuff.

Definitely.

Sometimes I literally look at the Kindle from angles, thinking "What sorcery is this!?"

It's kinda funny how often I get surprised by eInk over and over again.

Nothing can replace the feeling of having that book in your hands, but I use my tablet to read any books I just get the fleeting need to read.

Anything I really want to read I'll still buy in book form.

Touch Kindle is what I use, the tactile feeling of needing to do more then just press a button feels realer then a normal E Reader, pity it has low gigs, I have 15 gig of books and only 3-4 gigs on my E reader which is a slight problem.
