Soooo I wasn't sure how I felt about this game at first, but the more I see/learn, the more excited I'm getting. I've been playing the series since Morrowind, and I was concerned TES:O was going to be WoW on Nirn. However, this review has changed my mind:

Combat sound fantastic. PVP sounds fantastic. Raiding sounds awesome. LFG system sounds amazing. I think this might be the first MMO I jump into hardcore since CoH.

What I like from what I've heard is that while you can play by yourself, your actions still matter. The whole three armies thing, sounds amazing. You now aren't fighting just for yourself, but an entire sect of players.

PlanetSide mechanics, With proper crafting, with proper team based co-op incentive, Elder Scrolls lore, Nirn...

My life is now complete, if it ends up being another stock MMO though then I will just have to start programming an online Skyrim emulator since they have really gotten my hopes up and I couldn't accept TESO being a failure.

I doubt it'll be a failure, they really seem to have thought it out very well...but if it does count me in as a player for your project.

The idea is sound enough, but think about it for a second, the whole point of the Elder Scrolls is you are a unique, god-like beast who saves the world in some way. When you make the game multiplayer, where everyone has a equal chance in balanced combat, I feel it loses something. That intangible spark that gives the Scrolls wings.

All of that aside, I’ll probably give it a shot. I know of at least two of my friends who will pick this up as soon as it comes out.

I kinda disagree, yeah you have more abilities, but half the fun was knowing you could lose any moment. The fun was in over coming that adversity. Now think, you have two entire armies to overcome. I'm there day one.

I think that the basic appeal of Elder Scrolls is being a big mighty hero, but after a certain level of fandom I feel like it would be rewarding just to inhabit that world in an organic sort of way.
Which it sounds like this MMO will sortof do.

Anyway, I'll be willing to give it a shot just to explore Nirn.

Dude, I want to play just so I can see Elseweyr and High Rock and Orsinium and all the other cool locales you don't get to see in the games.

Alik'r Desert is top of mine.

In all the time I was playing Oblivion and Skyrim I thought "This is amazing, I just wish I could share it with someone" Now I can :D

I didn't get that feeling with Morrowind though...

Say that to me in game, if you dare! *comicalangryfaise*

(I won't fight you tho. You'll just go home to find all your stuff missing and your wife with an oddly satisfied glow.) =P

In the Elder Scrolls Online, it will be many many years before Lydia was born.

Pretty much this, I love world exploring, and I think an Elder Scrolls MMO would be great for that. Plus, I want to go back to morrowind. I miss the crab shell house things and giant shrooms.

Girlfriend and I are planning on playing this when it's out. Looks amazing.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Pfft you can have her, but my stuff? This means war!...you know, the plot of the game. But seriously, looking forward to this, already have friends drawing battle lines based on their favorite races.
