I came across these photos on tumblr, I thought they were edits of real animals until I went to the artist's deviantArt page.

Only because creatures like that tend to have the ability to speak, or at the very least a very human level of intellect.
It would be hard to trust something that is potentially as smart as you, only it has teeth and horns and possibly magic.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.
