We used to put our friends Nokia 5210 in cups of water and then call him, used to also play brandings with it and put it under the tyres of buses. Friggen thing could outlast a cockaroach in a nuclear blast.

Now we have Iphones that break when you put them lightly on the kitchen table, planned redundancy has gone a bit to far imo.

Most of the people have shitty kyrocera "work phones" that are horrible. The higher ups have iphones, and I've replaced maybe half a dozen screens, even with the bumpers and all.

Also, sprint is a horrible network.

I got a huywei, cheap android, but i'm not really a phone person, i call people with it, it tells me the time, that is it. If it breaks I buy a new cheap one and keep the old sim card.

Whats worse about those screens is once they go, they very rarely just crack in one long neat line, it usually shatters to the point that the LC is leaking out of the D. Even so you couldn't use it anyways since you can't see a thing. who thought safety glass was a good idea for a phone?

My brothers' iphones have held up surprisingly well.
Work wise they are both a mans man; they run their own landscaping business (mowing, minor construction, snow removal in winter), do maintenance on all their equipment/trucks and have yet to break them. One of them is really clumsy too. /shrug

I know lots of people that have them that hold up very well, just compared to my phone. Maybe it's the size difference. I'm also hoping the 5 will be better without the glass backing.

brother has been with his iphones for a while. dunno if the employee has a case or not, but look into an otterbox. strong and add much needed bulk to them. should be some for model 5.

It does feel fragile, but if you drop it once or twice, it probably won't break.

I recommend getting a case, though, even though they are cool.

Amazon has some really stylish cases.

If you like retro, you can get cases that look like a cassette tape.

There are also Game boy ones, custom ones (you can order one with your Nerd Forum logo :D)

If it's appropriate to, suggest these types of cases to him (it's a good idea to because it informs him that he can get a case without taking away from the "look" (An iPhone DOES look cool, do you deny that?) of the phone).

Everyone but the big boss has an otterbox, he's more responsible though.

He's getting an otterbox like everyone else.
