Turns out, it's a Gilbert Physics Set.
The original box it gone, but the manual is there, along with all but one glass tube.
It has awesome things, like how to crush a can using air pressure differences. (Just like the barrel I posted in the wind thread.)
And how to make a distillery, something every child should know in the early 60's.

Maybe all that homemade distillery knowledge is what made that generation so much cooler than the rest.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I would probably still have prefect vision afterward.
