ok, im looking into an overkill good motherboard, cpu, ram, hardrive(solid state), graphics card and power supply. a good optical drive and not to bad of a computer case.
any ideas?

at the moment i dont really have a budget but around 17,000 aus $ for overall should work.

You forgot the dual 27" IPS displays.
With 18 gigs of vram you could play an instance of Crysis 2 maxed on each monitor, lol.

Honestly, with $7k leftover, I'd go with 6 of them in eyefinity.

If you wanted to go for the entire wall, a handful of well aligned projectors would be best I think. Something like:

At this point, if you're willing to pay for bulbs, it's generally cheaper to buy a projector over a large format TV.

In all honesty I'm trying to picture what a normal consumer would need that much for. afaik it's mainly used to cache textures... 6g alone is probably enough for 2 instances of the hardest hitting game there is (whatever that may be atm).
