Has anyone played the new Fiora lately. Saw a live stream and she looks sick.

She's lost a ton of what made her good. Her Q now has an instant cooldown, as well as it being an area skill instead of a targeted one. Its range has also been lowered so it's not much use as a chase. Her W is a bit better, but it leaves you open by nature of it being a block-all, so once people know the sign they'll just wait until the invincibility period ends before diving. Her E is worse because it's just two attacks now, whereas it used to be an attack speed buff that maxed at 60%? So in the time you could do the present 2 hits, you could've gotten 5 out before. Her ult, which used to be able to take an entire team apart in a teamfight (seriously, stack Hydra with Black Cleaver during a teamfight and it's gg) now just triggers her passive, giving her some small percentage of additional damage against her target, with an AoE heal if she manages to kill them.

You mean why she's been populating the bottom of tier lists for, like, ever?

 

Fiora was never good. She's a pubstomp champion: you get fed on scrubs and you get out of control and start solo-ing their team while they all rage at their top laner for giving you 5 kills and an IE. There's other champions out there who can do the same thing, but also have, Idunno, some kinda MOBILITY, BURST, OR ANY FORM OF CC. Lets take, for example

Really it's not a new fiora, it's a tweaked fiora, and after the tweak she's still garbage tier. I'm not by any means saying she's unplayable, she's just low tier: You're gonna have to try 2x as hard on Fiora to do what other champs can do easily.

Jungle main with some helpful tips

 

As ability-driven champs that benefit more from blue buff, Start

 

Smite and clear Gromp [frog monster] > Clear blue > Wolves > Red >Golems > Chickens

 

with a more autoattack heavy champ like Xin start

ofc, this is only for your starting rounds, and you might want to change it up if, say, a lane overextends and you go in for a gank, or a teammate has to back early and you stay in their lane to soak up xp and gold

 

 

Long story short: they added buffs to when you smite neutral camps, so starting with either Gromps Poison Armor or Golem's Gift of Heavy Hands is a better start than smiting blue/red like we used to do seasons 1-4

Been playing LoL everyday the past month or so. It's my go-to game for when I'm giving other games a 'break.' Though I've only been playing for maybe a year total. Played DotA back in the day, from the early stages and have been playing similar games since. Played DotA 2 as well. Just never gave LoL a fair shot until one day, boredom happened. Then I discovered I enjoyed their skin system and champions far better, oh and MODES. I fell in love with ARAM. I still don't play competitively, because of the odd times and breaks I've taken from the game it doesn't interest me. I've been thinking about it lately and might try and master a few champions. Right now I'm sticking to casual.

 

I enjoy playing support the most: Sona, Lulu, Lux, Janna, Nami, etc. - I can't really brag about how well I do (and don't) with those champions, because I play ARAM. It's my stomping grounds.  I've had some really good games though. First time I ever played Lulu and assisted with a back-2-back pentakill Mordekaiser. Probably my funnest match to date. Won't lie though, I've only ever had one pentakill myself. Thousands stolen from me, but I got my one. SO I'M HAPPY! It was with an AD Kog'Maw, because I'm boss like that. Funny story (at least to me) is that, the night I got my first pentakill...Just got home from seeing Jurassic World in theater and got a Kog'Maw random with my Jurassic skin. It was fate.

 

More on champion updates...I don't like the new Fiora either. I can see how she appeals to competitive players. She's doing really well with the pro's I hear. I was just starting to get good with the old one =/ but oh well, it is what it is.

Legend of the Poro King is out! Play it while you can. It's really fun and fast-paced, but long games unless your team is really dumb.

 

It's basically ARAM on crack. Same map. Your summoner abilities are replaced with Poro ones. Mark and teleport pretty much. You throw poros to mark enemies 10 times then the poro king is automatically summoned. While summoned he shoots random aoe and gives an aoe regen buff. What's cool is you can mark/tower dive/kill a sucka/teleport back to it to avoid skill shots. It has way shorter rez timers! And best of all, it's DRAFT with bans. You can pick your favorite champs while doing an ARAM.

 

If you do play encourage a Katarina ban. Because if you don't, you're in trouble. Unless your team sports the better Katarina. Because...
