I love it xD I felt like a dick but meh. I want to hit level 30, and that's the best way I've found lol. Need ~400xp for 29. Hopefully I can manage that tonight, then be 30 tomorrow. And then ranked, because I wanna see how it goes.

I play a DK in WoW and employ much the same thing any chance I get. I'll never pass up a chance to pull someone to a group of players/mobs/guards/etc.

I try and change the style I play as a lot so I can figure out my place. Playing around with champs I've never touched now. Anivia is REALLY fun, and she's great for harassing. I held the entire enemy team back using her ult because none of them wanted to step foot in it. xD Think I'm going to try Sion next.
Edit: I have no idea how Nasus works. 1/3 though. Plus I was laned against Tryn which didn't help matters ._.

For a while Anivia was considered a late game hyper-carry (if bruisers weren't so prominent she still would be). More or less her lane phase is balls but if you make it out safely the enemy is in for trouble.
Nasus is the same way. His lane phase is awful in exchange for turning into an unkillable monster late game. More or less you just try to farm up with siphoning strike and get the dmg stack as high as you can and build dmg/health mix. (Iceborn Gauntlet/Sunfire Cape/Warmogs/Frozen Heart type of items) Drop wither on the ADC, ult into enemy team and just dump on them. He's really hot in the jungle atm; being able to safely get to mid/late game with him is downright broken.

I'm not very good with Nasus. I can get a couple kills, but nothing really significant. He feels so slow. I perform much better with faster champs. I've been absolutely destroying with Fiora lately. Won a game with her earlier that from the start was a 4v5 due to our Leona quitting and not coming back. Then about 20 minutes in our Teemo left too. Had a shaky early game because the enemy team was double jungling. Amumu and Fiddle both roaming made it pretty tough to hold lanes. I ended up roaming for most of the match to help all lanes at once ._. Couple quadras though so it was ok.
Also fml. My first win of the day bonus went to a 20-min rapefest so although I got the bonus, I got jack shit regular IP ._. Blitz/Teemo is a hefty combo.

It's all about finding your comfort zone. Nothing wrong with playing high mobility champs.
I like sticking to tanks that can initiate or peel well (as in, choose one or the other on a per fight basis) and can set up plays; thresh, taric, jarvan, singed, pre-nerf4ever alistar, sej, s2 nautilus. (I'd probably enjoy shen too but he's perma-banned so meh)

I tried Shen earlier and failed miserably with him ._. Just had a goodish game with Taric though. 2/10/20. Ended up sprinting around using Shurelya's active healing and bursting anything possible. xD

Also, ranked is fucked up as hell. Two games, both losses because of retard team composition. First game I call bot support, pick Sona, as second. Our #5 decides hey, he'll bot support too, as Thresh! I get sent solo top. On the plus side, I picked up some RP and bought Shyvana. Why didn't I buy her before? She's great. I need to learn to not be so aggressive though. First game with her I went 9/3, all my deaths came from chasing down weakened enemies and not getting out of turret range in time. Wahah.

Honestly until you're comfortable taking charge of your team ranked is kinda meh. You'll get stuck with people who are 10x worse than you and will throw the game unless someone holds their hand.

It's also surprising how many players are using Revive there. xD haven't seen that in so long.
Also, I suck at taking charge of people. Unless I've already built up some kind of friendship or camaraderie with them. And with ranked I really don't want to be leader because I don't know who to ban. XD I see a lot of people ban Malphite though? Not sure why, as he's never seemed that useful to me, and I've never seen him perform overly well.
Double also, ban Hecarim all the time, I say >.> Enemy Hecarim a few games ago got three pentakills, what the fuck is this shit. He just barrelled into our all-mid push and got all of us at once, basically. o.o

Hecarim is a solo queue hero atm. Pretty much you should be banning shen, amumu, blitzcrank, hecarim, vi and the sixth is optional (jarv, elise, TF, kayle, zac, thresh, zed, voli, khaz, malph)

I'm (personally) not a fan. <.< More or less if you don't pick up any kills before 12 minutes in you're going to be relatively meh; if you do start to pick up kills though he turns into a nightmare to deal with.
So after the naut changes I've been playing him a bit again... he seems really good now. Before his first clear was slow, clunky and just basically left a bit to be desired - but now that they lowered the CD on shield you have an easier clear than anybody else. Assuming I have at least one person leashing, I don't take any dmg from wolves and only burn two of my pots altogether on wolves->blue->red->gank. Combined with SotAG change so that it's a kindlegem instead of a giant's belt... you get tanky quick. I've only played him in normals with one of my friends (who's normal elo is balls, we play with/against mediocre players) but I almost always seem to be ahead in farm, lane presence, dmg and tankiness. I kind of want to try him in ranked but not sure if his ganks will be as effective against people who can pay attention.

I'm so baaaaad. Almost broke my way out of bronze and then had a string of losses that were, like, all my fault, hahaha. Bummer. I think my issue is I can't really pick a "main." I'll like a champ for a little while and then I get bored and move on.

For ranked I'd think a good idea would be to pick a few favourites, each able to do a different job. e.g I've been practicing jungling because I'm fucking terrible at it, but I'm a pretty good ADC, solo top (as long as I'm not hardcountered) and a pretty good offensive/defensive support. I can also mid well, unless I'm up against Diana in which case fuck that.
Just did my first game of Twisted Treeline in ages. Had a Jax and Wukong on my side, and me as Fiora vs. Ezreal, Kassadin and Draven. Their Ez was basically useless, he got 1 kill in the entire match. I racked up 3 solo aces, because AD/attack speed Fiora is OP as hell, man. Jax got pissed and claimed he was going to report me for killstealing. lol. He ended up staying in our base, Wukong fucked off into the middle area somewhere, and I solo'd their base for the win. >.> my god retards errverywhere.

Yeah more or less you should be able to play 2 champions in each role (minimum) before ranked. Obviously everyone has their preferences but if you're last pick you're going to be stuck with whatever no one else wants. The higher up you go the easier it gets; people are a lot more flexible and a lot more willing to do different things if they main a champ that counters a lane. (ie someone picks irel top I'll ask if they're ok not going top so I can singed and dump on her)
I can't necessarily say I have a main; I just want to pick something that's relatively powerful and synergizes well with my team (which happens to be Thresh 90% of the time).
