I do pretty well with him even though I pretty much ignore his W. I think. I haven't played for a while, but yeah. He's a fun champ to play with.

After seeing a couple teams give him a shot, I wouldn't buy him just yet.

Almost no allies will use his W hop, his Q doesn't quite hook like you hope it would, and his E is... it's ok if you can aim it right. His ult is amazing at a 2 and a half minute cooldown, but from what I'm reading it's noticable to the point where people can just walk around it.

With how little damage he does, and how reliant he is on his passive souls, you're gonna really need a good team for him to be a worthwhile pick. You're gonna want an AD you know will be able to get a kill when you hit that Q, otherwise you might fling yourself into the enemy AD with little armor [he gets no armor from levels].

Meanwhile, Leona is sitting pretty with stuns and slows galore, high armor and high HP. She doesn't have a slow wall, but you won't get screwed over on armor and damage if your team doesn't get enough kills.

Unless you're supporting a good team, I don't think Thresh is worth 7800. But I /do/ think we'll see him in tourneys because of his W hop, and him just being a generally snowbally champion.

So, after seeing Thresh being played more, he's looking pretty viable. Souls also drop from siege minions, which pretty much saves him from his passive.

/when/ people use his lantern, it can be an invaluable escape skill, which is something you'll really want when you consider the stuff below. Other than that having a nice armor/mr aura seems good for a support.

His hook, even though it has a windup, it almost comparable to Nautilus or Blitz, just without the full "bringing your ass to me" hook, and with the option to just use it for anti-escape [which is a nice touch]

His E still sucks, though. Not enough effect for it's difficulty and cooldown. Probably won't be the first thing people max.

He actually does pretty good damage, which is uncommon for most "full-time" support champs.

While I feel his ult should have more power/usability for it's ridiculously long cd, I think it's balanced, all things considered.



Only thing is, at high elo, people are going to start zoning him from souls, which can screw him over late game.

Yeah, he's more of a Summoner's Rift champ, he really needs that 40 minutes for harvesting souls

I think people were just picking crazy picks, cuz it was Dominion and nobody really cared.

That being said, Thresh has the potential for some crazy damage [I saw him do like 600 dmg with a melee in top lane], I just think people are still working out good builds.

People in the 1100 range seem to understand Lee pretty well, I don't tend to have many issues other than the occasional really bad player.

Also, honest question, is there any way to kill Darius besides zoning and chipping him, or fighting him with his ulti down?

Because I swear, you get near melee range and it's Apprehend>Slow Auto>Spin>Auto>Guillotine
