Darius' only real enemies are CC and kiting. Armor and big heaps of health help if you're a bruised type and want to go toe-to-toe, though. Warmog+FH/Randuins is pretty good if you're someone who can dish and take punishment(vi, wukong, riven, volibear with his passive up).

It depends on who you're playing and how good the other guy is, but my main goal is to try and bait him to use his bleed and apprehend (IE, wait until a minion is low - walk towards it as if you're going to CS, when he takes a step in when he's really close just take a step back so his Q and E don't hit) then harass him with whatever you have. His Q is a 9/8/7/6/5 cd and E is 24/21/18/15/12. If his E isn't on CD don't try and trade with him.

If you don't beat him out early do not try to toe-to-toe him, he will win.

The best way to beat him is with ranged. Teemo/Kayle/Malphite all stomp him if played right.

DotA 2 isn't for everyone. Personally, I like the amount of characterization and stylization in League. The use of vibrant colors and almost caricature-like models. The game also plays alot easier, IMO.

Also, what's your ign so we can invite you tomorrow?

The text size in DOTA 2 seems really small, too. Kinda like how I felt when I was playing Dead Rising 1 on an SDTV, the text is basically unreadable and I'm clicking around hoping I do something right. Controls are iffy too ._. Also I don't have a US account yet. They REALLY need to enable cross-server play.

But... but I don't want some KR smurf to last hit everything in his lane.

and every other lane.

Psh, you'd love it.

Also, 22/9 as Ahri. New record for me, whee. Especially considering by 15 minutes we only had one tower left in each lane, yet went on to win xD I've discovered a great way of getting kills early/mid-game. Teleport to a tower that's under attack, nobody expects it :D

Ugh, I'm jello. Being a jungler I usually let the lanes get the finishing blow, and play it super safe to not let any enemy lanes get ahead. I usually only have ~5 kills by the end of a match, but I rarely go above 2 or 3 deaths on Zed, usually 0 on a good day. That's not always the case, though, if I get a good start in the jungle, cover lanes, counterjungle their wraiths and smite their red, I end up way ahead. I've ended up at level 17 before the enemy can even get to 14, sometimes as much as 200 cs above their mid.

Then the surrenders come out.

A funny thing keeps happening at my unranked elo, though. Because Zed is such an unfamiliar champion, I've had all kinds of people try to fight my shadow [thinking it was like Shaco's ulti]. I have a habit of leaving my shadow in lane on my way to jungle after a failed gank [I can still make him throw shuriken, and if I'm not too far I can swap with him and be back in lane]. Earlier today I had a Xin to balls to the wall on my shadow, ended up ulting a bunch of creeps

Psh, at least you CAN jungle. I'm terrible at it, though possibly because I keep getting games with people who don't speak English (my last game was with 4 Mexicans, what the FUCK) so I can't ask for help pulling blue or anything, which usually leads to me falling behind and having to drop jungle early in order to run lanes so I can actually y'know. Do damage. >.> With Ahri it's basically just solomid = gg. harass until opponent overextends, then Charm to tower. Once I hit 6, I can take out a non-tanky champ in one volley of E>Q>W>R>R>R, and usually the final R can be used to escape a little in case I take too much damage.

Lost a game earlier as Ahri because my team had fucking terribad connections. I hit 15 at the same time the second strongest hit 10 >.> so yeah, we lost. I can handle a 1v2 sometimes, but Ahri just isn't hard enough to withstand anything more xD

Honestly, I find Jungle the easiest role to play aside from Support [but I do watch alot of Jungler streams, so I can basically do it in my sleep]. Jungle boils down to map awareness, assisting your lanes, and ganking when they overextend to tower. As jungle the way you carry is by making everyone else win their lanes. Basically, you just wander around and try to get a feel for what the lanes are doing, and help where needed.

That reminds me, an unspoken rule of jungle is that wraiths are your godsend. Any strong AoE skill will just decimate them, giving you a bunch of xp and gold for basically a couple seconds of your time. Since you mid alot, feel free to take your jungle's wraiths mid-late game. If you push your creeps to tower and do your wraiths, you're playing well on alot of levels. You're denying your opponent cs, getting ahead in cs and level, and staying safe from a potential gank.

But yeah, I feel your pain. Without help starting blue, you can get a really slow start and be basically useless until 4 or 5. And getting team BR sucks, I hate that shit. /Sometimes/ you get a good foreign team that speaks enough english to help coordinate our team, and sometimes they are even nice and polite. But 9/10 times I get total silence and "n00b team" if we fall behind.

What drives me absolutely insane is that Brazil has their own riot servers. They have to go out of their way to download the NA/EU client and play on our servers, and they do it with high [personally, unplayable] pings between 250 and 300. Why?

Because nobody plays on the BR servers.

It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

TIL: If you were to play a game, and no champions interfered, the creeps would eventually win. Which side would win is completely random.

Also, creeps have a pretty sophisticated AI, sorting targets by priority. An enemy champ attacking a friendly champ being the highest priority.

I love the creeps now D: <3

That's what I hate about the EU servers. I can only speak 2 languages, English and Japanese. Both of which make me a minority >.> If I get teamed with someone who speaks English, it's a shock to the system. It's also irritating that, even at my level (almost 18 now woo) people simply don't know how to play their champs. I play Ahri so I can take any lane reasonably well, but solomid is the easiest and I perform best there, as it also makes it easier to push to tower and then duck out to either regen HP/mana or to lend a hand to top or bot. We barely won the last match because a Volibear/Skarner duo went bot, Thresh went mid (and subsequently fed the fuck out of the enemy team's Xin) and I was top with an Akali who seemed to think it's a good idea to throw down her invis AoE in front of enemy towers. I could accept these as errors due to being new to them. Once. But continually doing it is just stupid >.> if I feel like I'm feeding an enemy, I'll avoid the lane or try and sneak attack them by going through the jungle. I don't run straight back there, die again, then spend 15 seconds typing "OPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" like a dumbass. >_>

I'll make sure to hit the wraiths though. Usually I bypass them unless I happen to tag one with a stray Q, which happens sometimes.

I wouldn't try to take wraiths on ahri, you'll lose more health and mana than what you'd get from the gains. Someone like karthus or cass (high on demand damage) are the people to take wraiths on (as far as AP mids go).

I had a game exactly like that earlier...I also had 2 people quit once the game began because 3 people were arguing over who gets to be Darius. Fucking tards. Someone picked Ahri before I could, I didn't complain. I picked Fiora and basically carried bot AND mid because for some reason Ahri and Darius both went top >.> Obviously we lost, but I did really fuckin' well considering the circumstances.

Also eee, 5000IP. Just 1300 more and I can buy Riven >.> then spend my remaining RP on her bunnygirl skin. Mmmm bunnygirl.

Save up, because it appears they made a new tier for 7800IP champs. I clicked on my Victor randomly and before it popped up saying "champion owned" I am almost certain it displayed 7800IP cost. I can only think of him and Thresh atm that are 7800. I don't know why though, since neither Viktor or Thresh appear to be all that good. >.>

Edit: I was wrong, Viktor is 6300. Fuck my eyes. derp.

But yeah, I think if they keep releasing 7800IP champs we could see a whole new tier coming. However I have yet to see Thresh used effectively, and he doesn't seem to be very useful as a support. Yes, he has a slow and a stun, but aside from that he doesn't seem to be very tough. I'd call him a glass cannon, but he doesn't appear to have the health/armour to last long enough to tank effectively, and his damage output is subpar.

I would definitely get some more runes and rune pages. If you run AD quints with a mix of 3 AD marks and rest armor pen marks you'll hit the majority of the neutral monsters for true damage. (assuming you have sunder on your mastery page)

A lot of junglers swiftness quints are really good on - the reduced time running between camps actually makes a quicker clear than the 6.75AD or attack speed. Attack speed marks are pretty common for junglers as well (mundo, naut, sej, skarner, shyv, etc)

I need to get more rune pages tbh (9 doesn't feel like enough), runes can be pretty situational top lane and vary between mids as well. (ie, if I'm fighting against Elise I'm going to want flat magic resist glyphs instead of scaling; sometimes I'll want swiftness quints (against teemo, for example) or other times I'll want raw AD to trade better. On most mids I'll go a 20AP and flat magic resist rune setup but with bruisers becoming somewhat common mid the flat magic resist is a waste)
