I decided to run some FurMark tests to get some hard numbers while overclocking my 6850. For these tests, I used FurMarks 1920x1080 15 minute burn in benchmark.

I started with a stock speed of 790mhz GPU and 1,000mhz memory clock. This gave me 22fps, a max temperature of 74*c and a score of 2005.

The highest stable run I could get, with no artifacting was 960mhz GPU clock and 1220mhz memory clock. This test resulted in 27fps average, 74*c max temperature, and a score of 2425.

It seems as though 74*c is when the fan kicks to a higher level, as after this point both runs lowered to around 71*c.

So, if my math is correct, and it probably isn't, that's a 22.7% frame rate increase, and a 17.3% FurMark score increase.

I should note that this was on stock clock speeds, and done through the AMD Overdrive interface with an ASUS EAH6850. I believe more stable and higher clock rates can be reached using MSI Afterburner software, and will be trying this at a later point.
