Oh, hello there...

I am Golgotha, currently your newest member. Let's see, why am I here? Because currently I'm very bored and I'd much rather procrastinate than write an essay on the economic balance of payments in Britain over the past 20 years.
There's not a huge amount else for me to say really, what are my interests? Well I used to play rugby a lot to stay fit but now I just lift weights. There's minecraft to name one of the assortment of games I enjoy, music of course, I love my wubs as much as my Toccata and Fugue in D, and reading, perhaps my favourite past time of all is cracking open a leather bound book and devouring it with my eyes. Oh and drinking...
Currently I'm unemployed, studying...supposedly. I'd like to become a game programmer once I'm done with sixth form, this after laying my original idea to become a barrister to rest. Oh, sort of interesting, my main source of income right now comes from keeping bees and selling honey, it's not much but it's better than nothing.
Anywho, that's about it really. Look forward to meeting you people over the coming weeks, months, years etcetera.

That's a hell of an interesting way to make money. Do you keep the bees in a rented field, or what?

I agree with Spleen, that sounds awesome. >.>
Do you ever run around yelling "AHH!! I'm covered in beees!!"?

<.<
Eddie Izzard skit, sorrie.
Anydoodle, welcome to the site.

I bet.
A bit like my signature, eh? XD
That's such an interesting thing to do tho.
How did you get into it?
Is there a trick? Like moving slow? >.>
I'm sorrie, you're the first bee keeper I've ever met.
Is the honey delicious fresh?
I've been told before you can actually discern what kinds of flowers they made the honey from when it's fresh.
Sound yummy.

Are you training them to be attack bees?

And yes, you can tell by not only the taste of the honey as to where it came from, but also the smell and colour. For example last years crop was very thick, with almost a tobacco like after taste, yet it was also very sweet, so I imagine it was partially rape-seed *snigger* but also it might have been apple blossom based from the spring blooms on the orchard remains at the top of my garden...it's not as interesting as you might have initially though hut? But I'm trying not to rant. XD
Also yes, exactly like your signature. ^-^

That's one way to do it.
Spleen just said "They made a life-changing decision based on a 5 minute documentary, we're going to get along great."
I would love to be able to just pick up and do something like that, sounds exciting.
And honestly, you're taking honey from bees.. can't not be interesting. XD
What strains are you attempting to cross-breed?
And that sounds so kewl.

I hope you get a good crop this year.

And I'm not trying to cross breed them so much as I want to and then did...by accident, and then on purpose..but not very scientifically. They're a pure strain British honey bee and what I vaguely recall as being an Italian/ British hybrid. Basically...two British strains, smash them together and see what happens. See if they evolve to drink tea and wear top hats. =D
And hey, why not just pick it up? It's pretty fun, interesting enough, although it's expensive to start out. Kitting up cost me nigh on £400~ X_X

I want a bee that wears a tophat, dammit.
Well two things.
One, I live in Chicago.
I actually have to walk quite a while to even see grass.
Two, I am broke.
Really really broke.
I have one dollar. >.>
I am saving it. <.<
>.O
Yikes.
I hope you've made it back already.

One dollar? I dunno if you are serious but I literally have £10 to my name, that's it. XD
Chicago though, that's bloody awesome, I'm a 50s nut, and I was thinking of going to the US next year, Chicago or Iowa or Washington, yet to decide but I wanna see all the gangster bits if I go Chicago. ^^
Also, maybe a dumb question, but do you guys have a live chat on this here forum? o.o

It's in the drawer next to me.
It is destined for greatness. >__>
Woo, *broke high five*.
Aye.
It has some really interesting places/events in its history.
Just make sure you see the skyline at night, it's beautiful.
Main thing I will miss if I move.
And London sounds awesome to me.
I had a yahoo/phone/pen pal from there once.
I almost got to spend time on my class trip to Europe, but at the last minute they changed their minds and just added days to France.

But your airport is lovely! XD
Still have my change from the shirts I bought for a friend of mine from there.
I'm sure you're already aware, but 'punks' here are pretty into anything and everything UK.
As for the 50's that's pretty kewl.
My uncle has photographs from the Valentine's Day Massacre in his home.(retired policeman)

Oh hell and I know punk, I have a mohican XD
Yeah London is okay, loud and noisy, I love on the outskirts so I'm a bit of a quiet towny myself. That being said I toured some American mates around London recently. =D

I've always been an oddball tho. >.>
Awesome.

I wanted a mohawk, but I'm too chicken to do it. <.<
I have a love affair with my hair.
I'm the same way here with Chicago, I totally understand.
Unfortunately I'm stuck for the time being, but I would definitely love to live somewhere quiet and less crowded.
That's awesome.

Where were they from?
They have a blast?
