Always jump when the toaster pops up?

I don't even eat toast anymore, it's just too stressful.

Yep same here. Same with the microwave too, I just wait by it and turn it off with 1 second left now.

Any sudden noise will scare me, even if I'm half expecting it. Even sudden movement in some cases

I remember once I stuck a sticky note on the shelf above my desk to remind me of something, and one day while I was doing homework the stickyness wore off and the note fell right in front of my face. I almost fell off my chair.

And nothing's scarier than having a poster suddenly fall off your wall in the middle of the night and falling on top of you, especially when it's this poster: http://www.elite-vie...ion-Posters.jpg

Lol. Wolf, this is the silliest topic I have ever seen. I mean, come on. There wasn’t even the normal furry porn subtext here. Wait, what is a ‘toaster pop?’ I gotta go check the urban dictionary real quick.

Nothing is scarier than being jolted awake by the RIIIIIP of the tape coming off the wall, then having something fall on top of you.

You'd think I'd learn to keep posters away from my bed, but that hasn't happened yet.

The subtext is on it's way, I'm trying the Hideo Kojima style of making you wait for it.

btw: 30 minute cutscene incoming

I was sleeping at a buddy's place a few weeks ago and his cat knocked a glass candle holder off their kitchen table and it smashed on the floor three feet from where I was sleeping.
It didn't even phase me, I only knew it happened because I woke up when his woman was sweeping up the glass in the morning.
I have also slept through an earthquake.

On the other hand.
When I was in high school I was sleeping in my room and my mom walked in to get something.
The second her shadow fell on me I sprung out of bed and had my elbow in her throat up against the furnace in half of a second.
She lived, don't worry.
So I think my startle reflexes only activate when I think I am in danger from something.
Microwaves and toasters, though annoying, don't really get me going.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

No, he still makes them full-length, but the other developers shorten them when he isn't looking.

The original MGS4 Intro was going to take 7 hours, they managed to chop it up into less than 1.

My phone on vibrate has been known to cause minor panic attacks, even if I'm having a conversation and I'm being texted every couple of minutes. Every damn text is a new heart attack.

I used to have a pretty badass surround sound system. 7.1 and 1200w. One week I decided it'd be nifty if I used it as my alarm, setting it to an amazingly early 11am. (This was when I was in alternative school that started at 4pm.) It worked flawlessly all week, and even had a setting so it didn't go off on the weekends. The next monday however it did go off on schedule, except that I had listened to music on it over the weekend at it's highest setting, and it remembered that. So I jump up and try to, to the best of my knowledge, water walk off my bed. One foot got caught in my sheet, the next just hit air instead of bed, and I fell face first onto the ground, and then did my best to crawl over, caught by a sheet trying to tug me back, and managed to reach the off switch.

So I was just reminded of another one. During hurricane Ike (this guy: http://en.wikipedia....i/Hurricane_ike ) I was asleep on my couch. I was right where it made landfall, and was currently in the eye so it was easy to nap. When the opposite side of the eye wall passed over, it ripped all the shingles off of my house. So this is a good time to inform you of two things. First, my house was made before plywood. The roof consists of apple crate slats nailed together, and is pretty much a sieve. Second, the ceiling in my living room, where I was sleeping, was drop in tile. It didn't take long for the tile above me to fill with water and collapse down, smacking me in the chest, and drenching me with water. I was up and completely out of the way so fast I didn't realize what had happened.
