OK, Just arrived about an hour ago. So I've fitted it, unfortunately, It required taking the motherboard out and changing the bracket behind it, And then fitting the stupendously big fan on top. Anyhow, I've overclocked it to 4GHz (Should be 3.2GHz) (Only an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Not mega, but really good when overclocked). It's a hexa-core processor, and is running at 4GHz at just 23C Average! (Idle temp) WOW. It's a very good fan i must say, I love it now. It costed £68 bloody quid, But worth every penny. Bloody well took it's sweet time to arrive however. A whole week and a half. (*-_-).

ZZZZZZZZ

Anyhow, What are your thoughts on overclocking and CPU fans?

That thing's a beast. I'm just using a stock cooler on my core2quad, but I plan on building a new rig when Ivy Bridge comes out and running it on water. I do have the i7 at work overclocked to 4.3 on the stock fan and could probably go higher, but I really just did that to toy around anyways.

Also, what case is that? It looks nice.

It's a Cooler Master Elite 430, Only £40 you can fit a lot inside for the size. Only a Midi case. Getting a HAF-X Soon and a nVidia GTX 570, Plus a 128GB SSD.

Nice. I'm waiting on this one in the mail. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811146051 and when I build my new setup I'm going to add another 6850 to crossfire with the one I have. I'll also be getting a SSD for a boot drive, but I'm not sure what size yet, I'll have to check the prices when it comes time to build it.

i have a rather large coolermaster for my amd >.> honestly, i think i got it more to combat the heat i experience during the year, but it sits idle at 16 degrees. my processor isn't overclocked atm, though. but really, only because i haven't ran into needed more power out of it yet.

That is a beautiful case. I'm just waiting for my B-Day to get it, I should be getting a grand. (I know quite a lot).

Haha, I knew you were english :P I go to bit-tech.net sometimes though, which is a UK website which regularly uses USD and the imperial system of measurement. Confuses the fuck out of me when someone just says dollars on there.
Smart plan though. :)

Really good, Before i had it on top speed, and it was 23C while overclocked. I thought i would try it out on lowest speed possible, It still only peaks on 37C, and it's dead quiet!

That's really amazing. 37*c is a good idle temperature for most stock coolers.

As a comparison, what's the ambient temperature?

37C is what I get high load. On the idle temp around 26C.

What do you mean ambient temperature. Do you mean the surroundings, Like the temperature in my house.
