You can get faster data read speeds by keeping your harddrive defragmented, and keeping it clean from trash like temporary internet files or windows search files. Both of those features you can access through your windows Control Panel, under the System and Security tab.
If you want even better speeds, you could upgrade your computer. Although this is conditional, as it only works with desktops, and you might not have room for upgrades.
When all else fails, you could always get a new computer.

Something that makes my Pc faster is Ccleaner. It deletes all your cookies and thus freeing some space. I know its not much but considering I clean mine once a month it seems faster to me at least.
I'm not much help but hey, better than nothing.
I really think it's just a placebo effect, because afterall, cookies are really tiny files.
It could help though, I just don't really see how.
Then again, if you clean once a month, it might be a considerable size (including emptying the bin and stuff).

If you can't find engine grease, then chicken grease will work. Just steal it from behind KFC.
...crap, now I want fried chicken. <__<

You could also try rubbing the motherboard with cheetah blood.
Or harvesting the souls of ex-Microsoft developers.

- Install new memory
- Stop uneeded/unwanted programs running at the start
- Run a virus and spyware scan
- Defrag your hard drive
- Run the computer in classic mode (if it`s windows XP & 7) it reduces the work load for the graphics card.

That's true, you also need to sacrifice a your firstborn son in the name of Bill Gates, thereby increasing his life power.
Totally worth it tho.

Cleaning cookies (if you have enough on one server) can make an impact. Every time you make a request to a server and you have cookies you have to pass that data to the web server, which means it has to be parsed as well. On a low end system you could be able to see a performance boost on some sites.I really think it's just a placebo effect, because afterall, cookies are really tiny files.
It could help though, I just don't really see how.
