Now I'm sure all if you are familiar with Garry's mod, post what you think of it here.

Oh, Gmod, how fondly I remember thee. I remember the days when Gmod was game-dependant. I remember the days when we still called newbies Mingebags. There were only 3 gamemodes, DarkRP, Spacebuild, and BaseWars, and none of them worked. We had to install mods ourselves, uphill, both ways, through 3 feet of malware, and god help you if you had a different version than the server.

All in all though, with how streamlined it's become and with the TTT gamemode, I'm proud to call it an actual "game".

Still, it's a great time waster, it's fun for messing around with the source engine, but it's not for everyone [people who want actual content with their game]

No but seriously, an awesome mod and as Wolf noted you could call it a game in itself. There are so many fun mods for GMod you could be there for weeks just exploring an messing around.

If you took out GMod and replaced it with _________, you'd get a lot of guesses saying Minecraft, and then referring to the Technic Pack.

if you don't have the game counter-strike, a lot of textures commonly used in gmod will not be in your files. I find this quite annoying.

I love Garry's Mod, I too had the original. And I have to say it has improved over time. Garry's mod 13 was a huge breakthrough, on spacebuild I loved terraforming and starting my own colony on a foreign planet, along with awesome giant spaceship

Counter Strike is only $10, I really find your complaint abyssal, I have counter strike and it greatly improves the whole game. However Garry's mod does need to be a bit more independent. But I like how games themselves are DLCs.
