It's got some pretty deep ethical issues, definitely worth watching. It can be a little irritating at some parts because [very minor spoiler]

Hmmm, that totally flew under my radar for new anime this year.

I watched the first episode finally. It gave me sort of a scifi Criminal Minds vibe. While I didn't mind it, the gore sort of left me feeling bleh. I may or may not continue, haha.

The gore gets a little stronger up until halfway through and then kind of stops. There's one scene in particular that really stuck with me - really brutal - but really adds to the immersion of it all.

I'm caught up and loving this show.
So wtf, and it really draws you in. The characters are really relatable and solid, and the plot hasn't gotten too out of hand [yet]. One of the better animes of this season.

I saw the first episode and very much disliked it. It just bored me. Does it get better as it goes along?
Also, it didn't seem that WTF-ish to me.

Give it a chance. The first episode or two were kind of slow, but it gets really deep and heavy and shocking pretty fast! I definitely rank this anime up in my top 10. They are actually coming out with the second season of this anime late this year, and they are also coming out with a movie for it.

Yeah, but my problem wasn't really that it was slow, it just... I don't know. Something about it just didn't connect with me. A slow pace isn't really something that bothers me, so it probably wasn't that.

Understandable. There's certain shows I just can't get into and really have no explanation other than it just doesn't interest me. The Walking Dead is a great example of a popular show that I just can't get into.
