I feel kind of boring - I started re-reading the Harry Potter series last night, as it's one of my favourite books in the entire world.

Before that, though, I read 'Requiem' by Lauren Oliver, which was the last book in a trilogy about a dystopian universe - my favourite kind of book.

Oh, and I read The Book of Mormon for teh lulz.

Speaking of religious text, I am going to soon be reading The Bible cover to cover.

I haven't read much of it in a long time and I need a refresher in case I get in a debate pertaining to theology in the future.

The Swordless Samurai: Leadership Wisdom of Japan's 16th Century Legend - Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Kinda surprised by it, the majority of books tend to focus on Tokugawa, rather than Toyotomi. It's nice to see some different perspectives.

I'm gonna be reading The Bridge by Iain Banks, Mainly because a friend recommended it to me. I just finished reading Watchmen and as soon as I finish The Bridge I'm gonna start on V for Vendetta. I kinda knew the story for Watchmen already, having seen the film before, but the book adds so much more on to it, such as the awesome side-plot. In short, it was f-ing awesome.

I recently read a graphic novel called Sparks: An Urban Fairytale. I thought it was such a cute story, I ended up reading it twice before I returned it to the library. Today I picked up Neil Gaiman's Absolute Death, a collection stories involving Death from the Sandman series. I also took Heat Wave, the tie in to the TV show Castle, and Robin Hobb's Dragon Keeper. Excited to read them. :)

I also got my name down at the library on a novel called Fangirl, which is a book that lately seems really popular on Goodreads. They're ordering it in at the library and I'm interested to read it.

I've read the whole thing from one end to the other twice. You can sum it up like this:

God hates you

God loves you

God loves his son

God hates his son

God loves his son and he loves you now too

God loves you but he's going to kill you any way

I'm steadily working my way through Midnight's Children, just got a little beyond the Indo-Pakistan War, the last chapter I finished was spine chillingly sad.

I'm reading Battle Royale, by Koushun Takami. My local Waterstones had it in a 50% off bucket, and it was the only one I cared to buy. So far I like it. The writing style is quite unique.

I am currently reading a book called Boneshaker.

It is a well written romp involving a steam punk world full of steam powered excavating machines, blimps, soul crushing factory work, brutal poverty, and nifty hat/goggle combinations.

Also, zombies, so it is pretty much everything you could want in a story.

I just started At the Mountains of Madness, by H.P. Lovecraft. The way he writes is very difficult to read, but gives a clear vision of what he writes.

just got a kobo glo e reader, so I'm basically reading everything right now.

Also, just got a copy of hacking: the art of exploitation, which is pretty good.

I was waiting for two months for my local library to get Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, I finally grabbed it this weekend at the bookstore. I'm about halfway through it and I adore it. No wonder it was a top book on Goodreads. I'm a sucker for the quirky coming of age stories..

I actually just finished reading this, but I'm still going to recommend it to freakin' everyone here.

It's called Toby Alone. It was by far the awesomest book I've read in my entire life. It was written by Timothee de Fombelle. Who is the boss.

You should also read Toby and the Secrets of the Tree, the sequel to the book. Seriously, on a scale from one to ten stars, those books combined are worth about 500. Awesome, and perfect, I think, for everyone. Everyone

P.S. Hooray for the power of italics

I physically picked up a copy of that in my library some time ago. I looked at it, went, "Hey, rad." and put it back down.

I now regret that decision.
