I'm not sure that's in mythology, but whatever floats your boat. Also another one of my favorite mythical creatures is the domovi, if you keep it happy, it does good stuff. Piss it off and it could suffocate your kids and pets or burn your house down.

I just remembered the name of that one I couldn't remember the name of.
It's called a Fext. Seriously, glass bullets are the coolest, most implausible weakness.
I don't think he needs to be immortal. I think all he needs to do is to write the right story. Because some stories do live forever.

It's a zombie from Slavic mythology an I hadn't heard of it before? Wow, I failed badly here.

"If a child is born in an amniotic cavity and this part of the placenta is carefully removed, dried, stored and later carried by the child under his left shoulder, the child will probably become a fext."

Even more weirdness! I feel like Frazer should have done a study on these things.

I've never even heard anyone make reference to a fext, honestly. I just stumbled onto it while wandering around wikipedia one day.

They're neat though, huh?

My favourite mythical creatures are those super happy women in those tampon commercials.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Exactly.
Never has there been a more non-existent creature.

I love vampires and werewolves as much as the next person, but I have much more love for: selkies, hinkypunks (will-o-the-wisps), and satyrs.

And of course, my all-time favorite, goblins.

The fact that you called them hinkypunk makes me happy, although I always thought it was an irregular plural noun. Yaknow, 'Three hinkypunk were in the woods.'

No,

What Gollum is. I forget off the top of my head.

Gollum is a hobbit too.
He has just been twisted by the one ring over hundreds of years.

Never knew. Better verify that though.

Oh, I got a better mythical creature: Raj's girlfriend.

"About this time, Deagol the Stoor finds the One Ring and is murdered by Smeagol.” Stoors are one of the three branches of hobbits. We’re all human, but some are Caucasian and some are African. About the same idea, I guess.
