and it didn't stick. Then an LED caught fire! All in all, it was a successful endeavor.

xD I was trying to increase the light sensitivity of a photoresistor for a little dark detector I pieced together on a breadboard. I forked up with a resistor, though, and the LED went up faster than hell.

It was fairly impressive, I was quite proud. I think I'm trying to hard too make something powerful out of cheap bits, though. I want a really light sensitive surface to detect shadows cast over it to illuminate an attached board of LEDs in the same places as aforementioned shadows.

Naturally, first thing I do when I get into a hobby is try to tackle something beyond my knowledge xD
