My fav series ever is Oddworld, AO and AE produced in '97 and '99 respectively I think. Those games resonated with me on a level that no interactive media ever has, before or since. I think Fallout 1 and 2 follows closely but they just didn't catch me in the same way that Abe did. Oh, and now that New 'n' Tasty is in the works for a 2013 release, I'm really excited!
Fun fact: Typing in 'new n tasty oddworld' into Google Images will give you a picture of me. Scary!

Pretty pas mal.
I remember when Oddworld came out and I wanted it so damn bad, but never got it.
I don't recall why, but it never happened.
I have always felt like a part of my childhood was missing because of it.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Remember arcades?
Remember being stoked as hell to go to one with a pocket full of change?

You were a winner of a speed quiz giveaway eh.

Nah, I didn't win, I put my hand up for the signed limited edition Oddworld hard cover concept art book in a portfolio case that I definitely wouldn't kill to get my hands on. Some little shit who put his hand up after me won it. I'm not bitter though. I don't hate him.
I've never wanted to mug a 10 year old so much in my entire life.
It doesn't even matter than I have a copy already. I want another one.
Oh, also, A Bug's Life, when I got that on the PS1 I was a happy kid.

Thanks for making me feel old T_T
As for favorites, the original NES zelda was always my favorite. Where Mario and Megaman was run to the right, Zelda has always been about exploration and problem solving. I always liked that.
Currently speedrunning "Zelda no Densetsu: Toki no Okarina", or Ocarina of Time, it's funner to say the japanese name
That game was a big part of my childhood, and there's something awesome about being able to speedrun it in 30 minutes [even faster once I get warp buffering down]. Also, I can do some fun party tricks with the game now, like major sequence breaks [I can get the master sword with just the kokori sword and shield] and other fun glitches.

Chrono Trigger and Zelda are giveaways. The Lufia series holds a large portion of my heart. (I mean, it’s not like I made a green haired tsundere witch a main character in my first novel or anything) Secret of Mana was refreshingly new, Evermore was good, but far too easy.
Dragon Warrior 3 for the NES was the first game I ever defeated. It took me all winter and most of spring, but a seven year old me conquered it.
It’s sad, some of the best memories from my childhood involve fictional characters with magic.
My first novel, Seeds of Magic- Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, Kobo, Sony Store

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.
