 ikr? I remember farming the fuck out of that game, not to mention Triple Triad and other faffing about.

Turns out that 8's monsters scaled to your level, so he's just running through, using limit breaks, constantly almost dead.

i knew they scaled already, but sound strategy. it's about how i went through the game, except i'd be casting triple on one person, aura on three people, then limit breaks till the end >.>

selphie's limit was stupid op >.>

and i remember their hot dog obsession.

He got the record, btw.

But since the other run was PSN No-disc run, and his was a genuine PS2 disc run, he got the WR for a disc-change run.

Woot technicalities!

The game breaks when you junction 100 death spells to Squall's blade. Like, Sonny Chiba with a gun that shoots chainsaws, break.

And he still came in about thirty minutes under the last record. That’s damn impressive.

i dont think i ever made it through for an excalibur II. IMO its a poorly implemented idea for the ff series. Most ff games the more time you put into it the more likely you are to discover the hidden things like that. Running for excalibur II ruins the whole rest of the game.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I was told (not sure if it's true or not, however) that Excalibur II could be obtained via a sort-of cheat method, where the game considers 100 hours to be the limit, and so the timer rolls back. That apparently made it possible to get the Excalibur II without doing a super-speed run. I never tried it though, since I managed to finish the game in about 40 hours >_> Didn't feel like grinding for 60 just to test that.

I don't remember the hours rolling over, I think it just stuck at 99:99:99, but I could just be remembering it wrong.
