The clothing all looks pretty dang good.

I don't think he needs to be immortal. I think all he needs to do is to write the right story. Because some stories do live forever.

Looks good, the clothes especially have a great amount of detail and perspective.
If you're serious about learning art, might I recommend Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. It's a solid starting point, and can help you get into the major skills needed for drawing.
