I saw it last night. I live on the easternmost timezone in North America, and the showing started at 10, so it may have been the first public showing in North America.
I really enjoyed it. I wasn't a huge fan of the 48 frames per second thing, sometimes I felt it made some things look like cheap effects (it made it look like they sped up the footage sometimes), but it was really good otherwise.

I'm so mad that I didn't get the chance to see it yet! I've heard several complaints about the 48 fps version.

So I saw the midnight premier and then I just got home from seeing it again tonight... Twice in one day is enough for me. It was a really good movie.
