Okay, so I have a question....why are girls nipples always extremely visible in horror movies? Do they not wear bras? Are their bras super thin? Is it so cold on set that their nipples are pushing through the material of their bra and their shirt? Can anyone explain this and put my mind at ease?!?! PLEASE!

Boobs, violence, gore, action, sex, sandwiches. These are all liked by men. Putting boobies and horror in one same place, same for action, is a good way to bring men to the theater. Specially if they have a date. It's all in the money.

No, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I get a little more excited than I should about the topless scenes in horror movies. I guess this is one of those things where the more I notice it, the more I question it. It's like when Will Ferrell was wearing tights in Elf and there's never really a moment where you see any type of bulge. The more I see the film, the more I wonder why the hell that is. I....have issues.

I haven't noticed it as much in extremely recent horror flicks. One that comes to mind immediately is the scene in Scream when Rose Mcgowan's character goes out to get beers for everyone. Her nips are super hard.

the rationale is quite simple, both sex and violence are base thoughts within our minds that we tend to in everyday life pretend to have an aversion too, however both come quite natural to us. The horror film allows us to run rampant with both of these at the same time thus letting go of all of that which we keep locked away, and we do so in a way that is safe and no one is really ever harmed. that, or people just like tits and gore.

Dont get me wrong I love a good set of boobies, but in a good movie I don't really notice them, its not that high on my mind that it effects me while im trying to sympathize with a character that is running down a corridor with a bullet in their thigh and a grim reaper chasing them down.

As I said "I is booby fan", but gore and boobies is a cross that doesn't work for me. Gore doesn't turn me on, I am a very empathetic person, so in the horror genre it just doesn't work. If its based on a true story then thats even worse, since the emotions are so much more real, I saw a holocaust movie a while ago and a nazi soldier pulled the gown off a jewish girl while pulling her into a car. My friend made a comment like "Yay first titties in the movie" and I just thought "That is so freaking wrong".

Maybe I am a freak but there must be someone who feels the same about this?
