Comic books and graphic novels are prone to having bazaar and memorable romances. They can totally change the atmosphere of the storyline and alter your perception of the characters forever.

Do you have a favorite comic book or graphic novel romance?

Mine would have to be the romance of Jean Grey and Wolverine. While not having the typical romantic relationship, they definitely have a strong attraction. In the comic books their romance is not as great as it should be. Jean and Logan make an excellent couple and it was never really realized in many of the storylines. The best example where it was actually done right, was in Age of Apocalypse, where the pairing between them was very well done. It is what actually got me on board with the Jean/Logan relationship.

I wish that Marvel would put these two together, in a more permanent scenario. It will be difficult now, as Jean is dead. But Logan still mourns her death, creating the Jean Grey School in her name, while Cyclops is still the douchebag king, banging Emma, and ruining the X-Men name.

And yes. I am a total loser nerd who enjoys the romance that comes in the form of illustrated books. >.>

Do normal books count? Because if they do I would say the relationship between Aria and Eragon in the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.

Yea, Glenn is awesome. How current are you with the comics?

Ahhh the dreaded question. I just get whatever comics my friend is done with so I'm not even reading them in order...it's confusing but I love looking at the differences between the comics and the show.

Lol. It's ok. I have read comics like that for ages. I have been scolded many times for using the comic book store as if it were a library. I was only asking because the new issue comes out on Wednesday. New comic day :D I just finished a conversation with my brother about the differences between the comic and the show. He was telling me about the current situation with the show and then I told him the current situation with the comic. He seemed offended.

Yeah there are some fans of the show that want nothing to do with the comic which is weird to me. I could see if the comic would be giving major spoilers but they're so different.

At this point the show is so radically different that it would be like if someone watches an episode of Family Guy and got mad that it spoiled that nights episode of American Dad.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Chikane and Himeko in Kannazuki no Miko. It's a really fucked up story, but I found it adorable.

Aside from the whole rape part.

Cathy and Heathcliff.

I fucking hate them both with a vehement passion but it was a good love story.

Endou Hiroshi and Yamai Kouhei from Konbini-kun. Probably my favorite pairing in the history of gay relationships ever.

It's from a manga, I know. But here, look at it. LOOKATIT. It's so cute I'm going to die.
