Okay so I am an extreme horror fan and I absolutely love the Halloween season because I am a huge fan of the haunts (Knott's Scary Farm, Horror Nights, Dark Harbor, etc.) So there is this one haunt called Sinister Pointe and they do a Christmas haunt as well. I attended it last night and it was absolutely terrifying and raunchy ...so obviously, I loved it. However, I wondered why this wasn't a bigger deal? Honestly, why are there not more of these Xmas haunts? I would think they would get tons of business, I know this one does! Any thoughts on this?

I have always assumed Xmas was more of a children's holiday. I doubt many people would bring their kids to get frightened by some dudes dressed up as Santa. It might kill the holiday spirit for them.

Well it's definitely not for kids. You do get a picture with Santa but he smells like cheap booze and cigarettes and he raped one of the supervisors in front of guests. But this is why I think it's great. Don't get me wrong, I love all the holly jolly crap too. However, this was like a special xmas treat for horror fans and considering how many people love to get scared, I think that there should be more of these around.

No, he was just joking around and it was a dude. It's a very raunchy place but considering that it's owned by a couple of dudes who just love haunts, it's extremely well done. They had demented whos from How The Grinch Stole Christmas and they looked just like the ones in the movie, just...bloodier.

There was a Christmas-themed episode of American Horror Story last week. :3 Evil Santa and stuff.

Oh ok. I was just checkin. >.>

I remember watching several horror Xmas movies as a kid. I would probably check out a Xmas haunt just for some fun. I do not live in an area that hosts those types of events though, even for Halloween.

I didn't watch it. But I think that actor is great too. I was the only one I know who enjoyed Deadwood, and he was absolutely amazing in it.

For whatever reason, horror xmas movies usually disappoint me.

See, that saddens me. I think everyone should be able to experience a little haunt fun ;)

His voice is extremely wonderful too. He's done some voice acting for children's movies and I fall in love with the characters simply because of his voice.

Hey Wob, is American Horror any good? I dunno if the adverts tempt me to watch it enough.

I don't have anything to add...erm, scary Xmas movies...I'll let you know if I find any.

If you like horror, go for it. It's over-the-top but that's part of what makes it fun. It's also kinda soft-core porny, but I'll let you be the judge of that.

I know there's Black Christmas but that was a huge let down for me. By the way, American Horror Story is pretty amazing. Really strong cast. Jessica Lange is outstanding and Zachary Quinto has been brilliant, as well.

I think this season was more sexual than last season. However, it's not as sexy. If that makes sense.
