No, are there still sign-ups? I may be able to get it to run on my billion dollar broken computer B)

Also, didja happen to sign up for Dota 2 beta? If you have a steam account, I'd suggest it.

Lucky bastard. I was a huge D2 fan, I'd love to get in on the beta.

I've got a few friends that said D3 can't live up to the diablo name; no personal experience, though.

Looking at gameplay, it's not going to be the same, but I think it will still be a very nice game.

From the hype... more of a WoW type playing style, on line, multiplayer.

Eh.. who knows.

I’m a huge Diablo fan. I’ve been in beta for awhile now….. and have also waited 12 years for D3 to finally be released lol If you’re a D2 fan I will say this…. visually and style-wise, the game is everything I could have ever hoped for. The downside is that D3 seems to have gone the way of WoW and been extremely dumbed down. Makes me a *very* sad panda :(

Sadly, taking the challenge and thought process out of game seems to be Blizzard’s MO nowadays. With D3, your character will not only no longer have talent points OR skill points, but you are also now limited to 2 active spells (not including passive abilities)…… Some people may not mind this, but one of my favorite part of RPG games is min-maxing characters, which is obviously impossible when you aren’t able to customize your character…..

As a huge Diablo fan, I have to say it’s impossible for me to hate D3 haha….. but I am very disappointed with some of the big changes they have made.

Bah, you're lucky. :P

No talent or skill points sucks. Figuring out builds was one of my favorite things to do. I remember D2 only having left and right click for spell casting, and you had to bind the spells to swap to them, and then use with a mouse click. Is it something like that?

Also, I don't remember Diablo 2 being terribly hard, but then again I did play a hammer pally and a summoner necromancer. >.>

Hahaha, you don’t hafta me that. I’m pretty sure I jizz’d my pants…. multiple times… the day I got that email xD

And yupp, that’s right with the spells. You could have as many active as… well, as many spells as you had lol Now it’s just 2 :/

Oh man, Necro is and always has been OP…. and also my fav char :P The other classes weren’t as easy, especially Druid O_o But yea, D3 certainly wasn’t what I’d consider an overly hard or complicated game, but there was a challenge to it. Especially with building your character… and especially in Nightmare and Hell modes haha

That sucks. :\
I get it for free for having WoW, so at least if I don't like it, it won't be wasted money.

Necromancers were awesome. I remember sorceresses being pretty easy too, I had one that I botted with. (don't hate me)

It's pretty awesome. It's a lot of fun with a hammer pally too, just standing there and watching them die in piles. >.>

I haven't played hardly at all in the last two months, but I honestly don't mind keeping the sub active as long as I have the money in case I get the urge to play.

Yeah, that's mostly what I do too, lots of BG's. I've been slowly working on my 100k kills achievement.

Blarg, now you got it stuck in my head. >.>

i got my beta email about two weeks ago, D3 is visually very nice. Gameplay needs to be made a bit more difficult though, i havent died once yet and iv beaten the content that is available on 4 different characters

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I actually thought the same thing, but then I read up on it. The creators say that the easiness of the first difficulty is done on purpose. D3 has 4 difficulty modes, vs D2's three. And they said don't get used to it being easy because as the game and your difficulty level go up you "will die. A LOT." lol

Care to share your beta info with me? >.>

I was afraid they'd make it too easy, such seems to be the trend with games now. Maybe as Mizel said though, it'll get more difficult later on.

Plus, remember that we don't all have ninja reflexes like you. :P

Haha Don't worry, I was worried that the gameplay was wayyyy too easy as well. But the article I read was from an interview directly from the creators so hopefully it holds true ;)

Regardless, they've still eff'd up the game and made it easier overall by taking away all of your character and skill points and limiting the abilities you can use :(

Gaming companies nowadays need to stop catering to whiney casual players and start putting the difficulty back into games :/
