I love playing D&D. I've been playing since I was 12. I'm usually the DM, but it's so time consuming to create worlds and adventures. I create worlds and adventures centered around my players so that the adventures challenge them while providing a rewarding experience. I'd love to play a player character again and not worry about all the DM work, but it really is so much fun. Typically, when I DM, it's very story-based. Sometimes there are whole sessions where it's just puzzle solving and unraveling a mystery of some druidic cult or something. I try to incorporate some humor too, so one time, my players had to face Orcsama Bin Goblin. There was this other one with a zombie-summoning music box on a farm and the zombies were attacking with chickens and stuff. Usually it's more of a standard fantasy quest, but sometimes I do throw odd little things in like that if it fits.

I love D&D so much that back in 2010, I made this little song. It's a parody rap song about D&D. I wrote and performed the lyrics, but since it's a parody, the music isn't mine.

I'd really like to try out D&D Next. My cousin's boyfriend had started a campaign with someone who was trying it out, and I watched some panel discussions with the guys working on it. It sounds like it plays a lot like the types of campaigns I put my players through, so I'd really like to see if the rules and settings fit my DMing style.

If only there were a valid way of playing it online. I'd love to get into D&D, but I just don't know enough people willing to play it irl.

I play online!  There are programs you can download for a board, but we usually don't use one.  Most of the resources you need can be found online.  Wolf is right that you need more players for a good game, and you're best off having a DM who has played the game before.  There may be a D&D group in your area that plays every week- there's one at the mall near me where people play card games and tabletop games.  Sometimes schools also have groups like that.

I love D&D but it gets kinda addicting, so lots of free time is important. My husband isthe DM with three other players.
