Are you by chance thinking of adding more awards to the forum? There are only 2 and neither of them are very difficult to achieve.

Would be a nice incentive if people got medal or ribbons or something to show then awards in the profile box in the forum.

My (personal) take on awards is that they're great for when your community is large enough that not everyone has a good feel for everyone. IE, I've been here a while and have never seen x user before but he has y award so he can't be a complete ass. I feel like NF is still cozy enough that they aren't really needed.
That said, though, it doesn't hurt anything to add more.

I think that this is an excellent point! I also agree that more awards couldn't hurt.

In my opinion, it would be better if the non-custom awards were post numbers, and then Spleen could hand out awards for doing something specific, or something, so people earned them without realizing that they were earning something.
Personally, I believe that if you tell everyone that if they do b to contribute to the forum they'll get award c (I didn't use a because some people might think I was using it as a word, not a variable), some of them will do it just for the award, not because they actually care. That and eventually enough people will get the award such that it won't be special anymore.
