The Harry Potter books will probably always be my favorite series. I've read them all at least 7 times. Erin Hunter was good but I kinda grew out of it. Any of the Percy Jackson books Heroes of Olympus as well are fantastic IMO.

The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini

The Ocean at the End of the Lane - Neil Gaiman

The Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis

The Casual Vacancy - J.K. Rowling

The Beatles: The Stories behind the Songs - Steve Turner

Wonder - R.J. Palacio

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Other Stories - Lewis Carroll

Tiger's Curse saga - Colleen Houck

Me Before You - Jojo Moyes

A Hora da Estrela - Clarice Lispector

Ten Little Niggers (or "And then there were none") - Agatha Christie

And I'm pretty sure Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Sentimento do Mundo by Carlos Drummond de Andrade will soon join this list.

I feel ya. I started recollecting them Hardback versions.

So far I only have the order of the phoenix and finding the first 3 would be a mission and a half.

I don't own a single HP book and I'm pretty proud of that achievement.

Agreed!

The coolest HP experience has to be reading it while still influenced by religious terror of black magic shit. It was kinda creepy for me the first time I read it because of that. It's quite ridiculous when I look back, but the thrill of fear made it much better. I'd heard so much evil about it beforehand, and being the cautious rebel I was, I absolutely had to find out for myself whether it really contained satanic power or not. I don't know whether I was more relieved or disappointed when I realized it was simply a badly misunderstood but fantastic story with no powers whatsoever.

I am equally proud of this achievement.

Unfortunately it's tarnished by the fact I own three of George R.R. Martin's books.

The Lord of the Rings - J.R.R. Tolkien

His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman

1948 - George Orwell

Brave New World - Aldous Huxley

Narcissus and Goldmund - Herman Hesse

The Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis

The Neverending Story - Michael Ende

Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling

The Cattle Raid of Cooley

The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrùn - J.R.R. Tolkien

A Song of Ice and Fire will enter the top-ten when his illustrious author will finish it. I never trust a saga before it's over ;)

Yeah I really love that writer...if you like his stile I can suggest you also "The mirror in the mirror". Is very surreal though, almost like the literary version of a Dalì painting
