Don't you just love it when you find something awesome when you're not expecting to?

I also found an awesome cover album, which I've been listening to pretty much all day. Final Fantastic Violin. It's a bunch of covers performed predominantly on violin (obviously) and it's amazing.

I love Final Fantasy music. The Black Mages are absolutely amazing. I listen to them all the time. The best FF music ever.

the rules for tetra master were insane to keep up with. cards had 4 values. the first was the attack power of the card, the second was the attack type, third was physical defense, and fourth was magical defense. attack and defense used a hex value (0-F) and attack type was a bit more complicated. P was physical, M was magical, X attacked the lowest defense number on the card, and A attacked the lowest number on the card. i spent way too much time playing that convoluted ass game. >.>

my favorite is 6, with honorable mentions going to 8 and 12.

I'd have to say 9 was my favourite of the games, then 7. >.> Mini game.. well.. I can't even remember them all. -.- I know I ADORE the 'Place your bets' tune from 7's Chocobo Racing mini game. I loved breeding my Chocobo's. WARK.
I could never figure out how to play Blitzball on X, ended up hating that game and never played any since then.

Blitzball was a bit odd to play.
I just stacked my team with Al Bhed players and powered my way through every game.
The major pitfall with X was the god aweful voice acting and robot emotions coming from every single character in the game.
Otherwise it was ok.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I'll teach you the secret to Blitzball.

Give the ball to Tidus.

Get him close to the goal.

Use Blitz Ace.

Enjoy your free points.

I tend to take flak for this but my fav is and always will be 7, it just blew my mind as a kid, Three discs? that was amazing and unheard of. Also as far as 10 goes, it's too bad they never made an actual blitzball game, I'd have played it..

Mighty horse rocks, he rocks the fat ass.

Seven is my favorite. I guess I'm one of those people. I love the series in general from the beginning until 9. 10 just broke my heart, and not because the story line is sad. Tactics is so loveable because it's difficult.

But, for me, it all comes back to VII. It came out when I was 11 and it's the first FF I ever played and the first game I remember getting REALLY into. It's also got so much to do with religion, politics, morals, and personal development, I have to believe that it shaped a significant part of who I am and I love it for that reason alone.

Brother had the fastest speed stat in the game, I just passed to him and then had him swim in circles, the other team would end up near my goals, pass ball to tidus, jecht shot 2 (because i can) and then sleep while the other team tried to score.

Top 5 FF games for me would be;

FFVIII
FFV
FFXI
FFX
FFVI

FFVIII was such an amazing game, the gameplay was miles ahead of what FFVII offered. The FMV blew me away, so beautiful.

FFV was amazing for its ability to have class selection and mastering, it lacked in the story department but it was so good to just have fun and customize your characters.

FFXI was an MMO that I played for about 6 years.

FFX for the PS2 pissed me off at first, I hated voice acting in my RPGs but I soon warmed up to it. It became such a good game, a bit linear but overall the experience was very deep and it had a lot to offer.

FFVI is just a classic, the story and characters will forever be a benchmark for RPGs to come.

I find it weird that they call it "Final Fantasy" when there are so many of them.... I mean they can't ALL be final right?

The name is because the studio was failing. It was going to be their last gasp release, their own final fantasy. It caught on, so they kept the name.

I find this really awesome actually, that they were so close to failing, and ended up making what could be the most memorable series there is.
