I could never figure out how to play Blitzball on X, ended up hating that game and never played any since then.

I'd have to say 9 was my favourite of the games, then 7. >.> Mini game.. well.. I can't even remember them all. -.- I know I ADORE the 'Place your bets' tune from 7's Chocobo Racing mini game. I loved breeding my Chocobo's. WARK.

Blitzball was a bit odd to play.
I just stacked my team with Al Bhed players and powered my way through every game.
The major pitfall with X was the god aweful voice acting and robot emotions coming from every single character in the game.
Otherwise it was ok.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I'll teach you the secret to Blitzball.
Give the ball to Tidus.
Get him close to the goal.
Use Blitz Ace.
Enjoy your free points.

But, for me, it all comes back to VII. It came out when I was 11 and it's the first FF I ever played and the first game I remember getting REALLY into. It's also got so much to do with religion, politics, morals, and personal development, I have to believe that it shaped a significant part of who I am and I love it for that reason alone.

Brother had the fastest speed stat in the game, I just passed to him and then had him swim in circles, the other team would end up near my goals, pass ball to tidus, jecht shot 2 (because i can) and then sleep while the other team tried to score.

FFVIII
FFV
FFXI
FFX
FFVI
FFVIII was such an amazing game, the gameplay was miles ahead of what FFVII offered. The FMV blew me away, so beautiful.
FFV was amazing for its ability to have class selection and mastering, it lacked in the story department but it was so good to just have fun and customize your characters.
FFXI was an MMO that I played for about 6 years.
FFX for the PS2 pissed me off at first, I hated voice acting in my RPGs but I soon warmed up to it. It became such a good game, a bit linear but overall the experience was very deep and it had a lot to offer.
FFVI is just a classic, the story and characters will forever be a benchmark for RPGs to come.

I find this really awesome actually, that they were so close to failing, and ended up making what could be the most memorable series there is.The name is because the studio was failing. It was going to be their last gasp release, their own final fantasy. It caught on, so they kept the name.
