I went through an Oriental phase and shifted my name because of my avatar, but since my interest in North Korean politics has temporarily waned I'll be sticking with Gol or Golgotha indefinitely. I actually rarely change my avatar on most forums.

Meh, to me your avatar is your internet persona, the face people relate you to, wittingly or not. Changing that repeatedly detracts from the fun I think. In the past I've been on forums where moderators who have had the same avatar for three or four years have changed it suddenly and people have literally made topics about it because it's so strange and foreign.
