First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Great, now I just need to find a friend.
My ears were burning.

People may in fact be delicious - don't be so quick to judge.
Depends on the person. Preservatives don't leave fatty tissue, meaning most people probably taste like a combination of wax and raw meat. Someone more lean probably exercises more, meaning their meat is more tough, and less flavorful. The best tasting human would be baby, those would taste something like veal, as it's all soft, unworked tissue. All of the above, though, can make you violently ill, and lead to all kinds of diseases, both mental and physical.

Except for babies, they would taste like delicious bacon.
As for the detrimental aspects of eating people, I don`t think there would be many.
The only real risk as far as I can figure would be some sort of species specific bacteria or disease that you might get from the person you eat.
But that is just as risky as having sex with a stranger and maybe getting a disease from them that way.
We eat wild animals all the time, and though they are more dangerous to eat that controlled livestock, they aren`t going to poison you.
Human beings are no different.
I do not buy into that whole eating human meat will put chemicals into your body that drive you insane, or give you the shakes.
That would mean that those chemicals are in everyone, and doing nothing, until they are in someone else.
Not likely.
