Telerik's Team Pulse is another powerful tool I have used. JIRA & Confluence are what we are using now, but Team Pulse is pretty awesome.

I like the way team pulse captures requirements as "User Stories", then ties them to tasks for the team. Its not cheap software by any means.

That's all a bit further than I want to go. This would be more of a short write up, giving the coder advertising and myself content. The trick is to setup a versioning system for the source. VisualSVN is something I have setup for enterprise development in the past. Its robust and simple enough so that anyone can use it. But there are tons of other options. Something like that could host a project of the month with restrictions on who can modify it. (as well as provide area's for public projects) Essentially a "SourceForge" like website with social networking aspects tightly knit to the core.

Not at all, I'll spend some time in the morning making a decent list for you.If you have some good/profitable ideas that you don't mind throwing out there I honestly want to spend more time coding.

I used freeDNS to get http://cvillian.darkevil.net and registered it to my external IP. I have an old dual core w/ 2 GB of RAM running an FTP server and JBOSS 7. Comcast hasn't started bitching yet. Also if your ISP is providing your IP via DHCP, you will have to enable dynamic DNS updating, or just update the IP manually whenever it changes.

so we will be voting based on screenshots and abstract write up?I'm not entirely sure why you're posting all this here. I have a server, a domain, and plenty of experience setting up websites. The idea is that people here submit the projects that they are working on to a voting poll, and the winner gets featured on another site I have.

good.That sounds awesome.
A working demo will need to be provided as well.so we will be voting based on screenshots and abstract write up?

Same problem here.this sounds cool, it'll most likely get my spirits back up to code. I never have good ideas though...
I would also like to have a NerdForum project every month, something we can all work on... Together.

DEFINITELY! Whether it be a coding thing we work on, dungeons and dragons, or a writing club, I would be one of the first in line to join. This is a very good community and it'd be nice to do something. TOGETHER.
