Got an error when I tried to set the year for my birthday. I would rather not have my entire DOB available to any registered member, as it is a commonly used validation field associated with identify theft.

Not sure if this helps, but on the profiles there's an Age and a Birthday.

Maybe you could find a way to enable one but hide the other.

If I put the Month and day, its fine. But if I only provide the year, it throws the error at the top of this thread. Dont see any options about visability.

That's because with just a year neither birthday nor age can be properly figured
