I don't actually know what anime it's from, but it's a girl who loses her virginity to an alien like creature who's raping her. She calls out to one of her friends for help (I think her friend can magically appear anywhere), but her friend doesn't show up until after she's raped. After watching it, I was like wtf did I just watch? I have also seen some episodes of Boku no Pico, which is a little bit more mild, but not by much.

Pretty sure Bocu no Pico was consensual, which is an enormous difference. Japan's got some high-key consent issues.

That's very true. I can remember seeing some story on the news that said women were often raped on trains in Tokyo without the men even being arrested. Slightly unrelated, but Japan also has some really strange game shows.

Aw, man, I miss watching random Japanese game shows. I had an international channel on cable that used to show them at weird times of night. Total crowd pleaser.

KWZD? is great. Though I'd advise that if you don't like cliffhangers, don't watch it. Season 2 ended on one of the biggest fuck-yous to the audience I've ever seen and a third season that fixes that doesn't seem to be anywhere on the horizon.
